That's really interesting. Looks like they toyed with the idea of having the door handles flush in the rear quarters.

A very interesting read, horrible looking saxo type door handles on the prototype but at least they would have worked!

That cabrio is so much nicer than the golf cabrio I just went to look at while picking up spares yesterday. So more refined.

Plus there's something some where about VW back in the early 1980s had made a 1.6 twin cam engine,

that produced more power than the KR and 9a engines, but never went in to production.
