Lamin-x headlight protectors - which tint?

Recommended Posts

I'm liking the blue !

It looked a little strange to start with but really cleans up the light esp with loom and uprated bulbs. All looks darker when the weather isn't so bright!

Can any Lamin-X users comment on it's effectiveness against stone chips? Also, does it come off without wrecking the lights? Obviously you dont want it coming off too easily, but then you don't want it sticking so hard you wreck the surface of the lights if you ever want to get it off...

Hi Mark,

Our product is actually manufactured as a motorsport light protection film, if you are a fan of watching Leman or GT racing you will have seen our product. More so the Yellow which is also used for identification/classification of differently specced cars using the same track at the same time.

When applying lamin-x do you use soapy water to apply or do it dry? I have read that you use soapy water mixture, but on the website it doesn't mention it?

Hi John,

Both methods are acceptable, although the dry method of application is recommended for the general public/less experienced. The wet method tends to be used by race team graphics dept's and more experienced fitters.

Both are fine, but over wetting can cause the adhesive to lose all grip, and also become troublesome around any curves/contours.

Neil.
