Nice little article on the three peaks Jim. just shows that a feature can be about anything and not just purely car.

Get the notebooks out you lot

Well the link was the Scirocco there but I accept it was a bit tenuous! :) I wouldn't have written about it if I'd done it in a Land Rover or something! :)

Loving the period VW advert (a US one judging by the phone number on it).

Indeed, nice touch. Bought the A4 version at Stanford Hall a few years ago, now gracing the wall of my study. Yes, it is indeed a US advert, as also shown by the US-G60 on the picture :)

Wouldn't know anyone who's got a US-G60

Indeed. I'm hoping we don't get in hot water for that... but I figured it's only advertising the car, and too small for anyone to want to reproduce it to make a poster / make money out of it. I hope to include similar such pictures / adverts in future issues as a bit of a novelty :)

First time I hear it, too

Those adverts are indeed a nice idea as a bit nostalgia. Was watching an old Karmann promo video last night that I had lying around dating back to when production of the Rado started, lots to Rado content and Schwebe in one scene :)

It's all in German though ;)

Currently it's still sitting on a DVD, vob files and all.

Are you able to convert it to Betamax for me?

I am going to endeavour to be more proactive in 2013, attend some events and make a contribution to Sprinter. Was wondering if there was any chance of getting some more of the old Sprinters up on the CCGB site? I think it's important to keep the latest edition in paper, hard copy format, but it would be excellent to get some back issues up on there. I can only see 4 up on there currently...

Not being very techy I am unsure as to how viable this would be to do on a larger scale? Easy or difficult?

Or can I purchase back issues still, and who from if so?

All the copies I've produced, it's very easy for me to export them in a 'friendly' format for electronic download. Older issues however will require hand scanning in of every issue, as well as cleaning them up and formatting them in such a way that they can be packaged up in the same sort of way.

I believe Dave did start on this and I was pretty sure there were more Sprinter copies up on the website. I'll have to have a butchers when I get a few minutes over xmas!

I never got one of these- I did renew in September and also contacted Dave to change address, maybe it has gone out to my old one?
