VR6Pete 0 Posted June 27, 2013 Interesting http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?507432 Hope they develop this further and bring it to the forecourt. About time VW did something exciting again!
CrazyDave 0 Posted June 27, 2013 Been saying it for years! VR6 Turbo all the way :)
VR6Pete 0 Posted June 27, 2013 Oh yes, will be interesting what power a modern VR6 engine would put out with a little tweaking, hope this comes off ;)
Sean_Jaymo 0 Posted June 27, 2013 I posted this up in another thread earlier.... I'm wanting to know when it can replace my 24v conversion!

Portent 0 Posted June 27, 2013 I would absolutely love it if vw did another car with the vr6 moniker on the back.

P3rks 11 Posted June 28, 2013 New VW Corrado; based on the new Audi Quattro. With the new VR6 Turbo. It just makes sense.
coullstar 0 Posted June 28, 2013 We can live in hope but I doubt that will ever happen. This will be for uber barges only I suspect. This is the engine the new RS4 should have had.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted June 28, 2013 An OEM turbo setup for the 24V. Doesn't get much better than that! Looks to have a very short runner intake, so the turbos must be pretty small.
VR6Pete 0 Posted June 28, 2013 An OEM turbo setup for the 24V. Doesn't get much better than that! Looks to have a very short runner intake, so the turbos must be pretty small. All I saw there was "install some bigger turbo's"
dr_mat 0 Posted June 28, 2013 I think if it's pushing near 500 bhp with "small" turbos then it should have a staggering torque band.. Sounds great. Can't wait to rip my corrado in half by pressing the throttle pedal down. :)
coullstar 0 Posted June 28, 2013 (edited) A B5 RS4 motor taken out to 3l with about 1.5 bar of boost will see these sort of numbers so I would hope that there will be some good tuning potential with this one to get more. Ive put this up before but here's a comparison between a standardish VR6, my old VRT and my RS4 with the 2.7TT engine before map tweak. All on the same dyno. Just shows you what the twin turbo set up can do. Edited June 28, 2013 by coullstar
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted June 29, 2013 The RS4 has a shed load of grunt at 2K! Very nice torque curve that
