Gareth192001 10 Posted August 26, 2013 Hello hope everyone is well after a bit of advice. I'm planning on doing some major work to the corrado next year, but in the mean time i need to take stock of all parts i have that are in good condition. My one concern is the black plastic trim on the outside its not in bad condition just not black anymore, Does anyone have any tricks on bring it up like new?. Also i have the bbs storm wheels but with out the center cap anyone know size these are, where to buy either the vw logo or bbs logo centers to fit them. Thanks in advance
timmaaah 0 Posted August 27, 2013 I use Autoglym Bumper and Trim gel with good effect on the window rubbers/door strips/plastic grill/front spoiler et al. Can't help with the wheel question though :)
Critical_Mass 10 Posted August 27, 2013 Peanut butter (smooth) for the trim :) Or Mer trim treatment is good stuff.

seanl82 23 Posted August 27, 2013 (edited) Lots of very good temporary or semi permanent trim dressings on the market. The best (and most expensive) are G-Technic C4, and Carpro Dlux which will last well over a year of daily use. Auto Finesse Revive, Einzett Gummi Pflege is excellent on rubber seals too, and I use Carpro Perl. I use Perl because its highly diluteable so can be used on exterior, interior, tyres, engine bay, etc etc to whichever effect you want to achieve from high gloss to satin finishes for interior. Its a great price and it goes a long way when you dilute it. You can also use a hot air gun to restore it back to original, although sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Just be very careful about how long you keep it concentrated on one area as it'll lift your paintwork! Boiled Linseed oil and Peanut butter work, but are very messy and very often streak with rain water. IIRC, the centre cap badges are 55 mm mate. st4stokie 10 Posted August 28, 2013 I might have some centre caps for your wheels if you want them? They have VW logo on them genuine VW
