Slow Wipers

Recommended Posts

No it's a smooth movement just painfully slow. Slight drizzle the other day and had the wipers on fast and they were struggling to keep up. I'm offshore now but only just remembered.

wire the motor temporarily directly to the battery, then you'll see if voltage drop is a problem (or get yourself a multimeter), pretty sure it will be the motor though

I have just had my mech apart and found the spindle were worn and started rusting where they go through the bearing, might be worth disconnecting the motor to see if the mech moves freely.

I had the same slow wipers on an Audi caused by rust in the bearings.

Replace the motor - its around £25 from ebay. Strip clean and lube the mechanism. Remove any rust from the mounting bracket, and you're good to go.
