Silicone hose clips

Recommended Posts

Just a quick one - is there any advantage to using the specific Samco hose clips or will the Screwfix stainless Jubilees do the job just as well?

Jubilee type doesn't produce even pressure all the way round and can create a pinch point, slicing into the hose. Use jubilees with care or buy silicone hose clamps the original Corrado twin eared type can also be used.

Am swapping all my jubilee clips back to spring type clamps. They are much better.

I keep meaning to post up all the sizes you need.

Last thing I want is to pop a goose so yeah I suppose £35 is money well spent in prevention

Right sorry to drag this up again but I've just been looking at the JCS hose clamps that Roose supply, can anyone tell me the difference between these and Jubilee clips? They look identical to the ones I have just a different manufacturer...

They all seem to be made by a place called JCS. I bought loads and looked at loads and ended up coming to the conclusion not that many people make jubilee clips. They just buy them in.

I did have problems with hoses popping off or leaking and the clips damage the hoses. I'm only going to use the spring clamps on coolant hoses from now on.
