g0ldf1ng3r 15 Posted December 5, 2014 well it seems that what someone hinted on here may actually be true & potential of happening.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/30336569
Sean_Jaymo 0 Posted December 5, 2014 A story that says yes VW group want to be in F1 but not they won't be doing it soon. Nothing overly new there. VW group have been involved in engine supply for a number of years in the lower formula single seater race series for years. I can't see VW as brand on a F1 car, it's not exotic enough, maybe Bugatti or something else a bit more upmarket in their portfolio would be more suited. Porsche for instance, if they weren't so committed to the WEC cars?
seanl82 23 Posted December 5, 2014 They're coming in under Audi. Should be season after next from what I understand. Think it was the whole reason Stefano Dominicalli was hired by them.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted December 5, 2014 With VW's massive financial clout, I'm sure they're capable of producing a winning car, but because of internal politics, Audi would want all the credit for it.
GrahamU 6 Posted December 6, 2014 I did read a while back that Audi were pulling out of DTM to go into F1
