MZpog 10 Posted June 3, 2015 i don't think they do unfortunately Never mind, I expect it wouldn't last long off-roading at 50mph anyway.
fla 9 Posted June 3, 2015 Great stuff. That cen racing car was one of the first to go over 60 or 70mph I think.☺

borarob 0 Posted June 3, 2015 Great stuff. That cen racing car was one of the first to go over 60 or 70mph I think.☺ its two speed but 2nd gear isnt engaging properly at the moment, much like my full size one!!
Jim Bowen 1 Posted June 3, 2015 I bought an FG Marder from Kev on here, sold it now though, was crazy but every trip out meant having to replace something i'd broke  And had a 1:10 Skyline, which i also sold now
fla 9 Posted June 3, 2015 some serious cars there! I've got a Traxxas T-Maxx still in the box and an HPI Racing M3, also boxed. Bought an old Schumacher ProCAT about 2 years ago, started tidying it up and its still half way there. Just bought a new motor which does around 30,000 rpm, so i wonder how long the car will last. How quick was the Marder? Over 60 I'm sure? Used to run an SG Leopard back in the 80s. Big old beast, but almost indestructible.
swiftkid 1 Posted June 3, 2015 Haha, I used to have a procat, think I still have a box load of parts for it. I used to race 1/10th scale off road rc cars regional and a couple of nationals. Havnt done it for years but have an x-factory x5, basically a single belt converted losi xx4, was awesome but no pictures of it
Billzeebub 1 Posted June 3, 2015 Some good memories here. I bought one of the Tamiya Avante re-releases in 2011. Absolutely love that car.
MZpog 10 Posted June 4, 2015 Seems that lots of us still have RC cars, my first was a Tamiya Wild One. What was you first kit? Never raced properly as no tracks round here, plus my current Kyosho MP7.5 Kanai 2 is running a .28 so wouldn't be allowed. The difference between men and boys is the price of their toys. borarob 0 Posted June 4, 2015 first kit I had was a Tamiya Falcon, always wanted a tamiya lunchbox, which i duly got when they re-issued them. I have many cars, will post some more pics!
martinb 0 Posted June 4, 2015 (edited) First one I ever had was a Tamiya Blackfoot (although I always wished I got the Monster Beetle instead). Ive still got a few, between myself and my boy we currently have (from memory): Tamiya Lunchbox Tamiya Midnight Pumpkin Tamiya Grasshopper (X2) Tamiya Subaru Impreza Tamiya Twin Detonator I've also built an RC Corrado as a mini replica of my G60 - based an an Ansmann ARE-2 Chassis: *yes I realise I put the rear light stickers on upside down :( :) Edited June 4, 2015 by martinb

mic_VR 3 Posted June 4, 2015 some serious cars there! I've got a Traxxas T-Maxx still in the box I've been trying to convince a colleague to give up his T-Maxx so I can rebuild it. The motor is fubared but the rest is good.... apparently. Didn't realise so many had RC cars. Never had any myself but if I can get hold of this one I will. borarob 0 Posted June 4, 2015 if anyone wants to get into this cheaply try http://www.hobbyking.com they have a uk warehouse which has some of the stock in. some really cheap - but good - i can testify to that - kit there...
fla 9 Posted June 4, 2015 Electric cars are now going around 50-60 mph too. I had tamiya tyrrell 6 wheeler tamiya frog modded sandscorcher kyosho tomahawk sg leopard Yes as above didn't realise so many had cars. Ive still got radio race car from 1983 plus the tamiya guide books. What a dweeb I know :)
borarob 0 Posted June 4, 2015 This is my other mini me. Originally a pure Tamiya TT-01 touring car, I have upgraded the chassis to carbon and among many other mods fitted a brushless electric motor. This thing is the fastest I have, quicker than my nitro cars. In fact its too quick and scares the bejesus out of me. I put drift tyres on to make it semi usable!
