fendervg 33 Posted August 25, 2015 Is this the early or late MAF? Can't remember the pin layout off the top of my head.

chopper666 10 Posted August 25, 2015 In a horizontal line not sure weather it's early or late. The car is a 93vr6 with coilpack if that helps
fendervg 33 Posted August 25, 2015 Will be an early MAF then I think - they're the expensive ones. I'll double check later and let you know. Are you certain that it's the MAF that's at fault? It's an expensive part to replace if it's not needed. Did you scan the car with VCDS or VAG.COM?
chopper666 10 Posted August 25, 2015 Yeah I had it scanned through vagcom and also the wire is broken so it's definitely the maf sensor. I know steelers charge a fortune for it 😞
fendervg 33 Posted August 25, 2015 If it's an early type even third party web sites charge lots - they are all made by the same supplier anyway - I think it's Bosch.
chopper666 10 Posted August 25, 2015 Where's best place to get one from. Found one on eBay for 89quid it's a 6pin for the corrado. Just unsure as it says for the 2.8 corrado the slc version
Dox 23 Posted August 25, 2015 Have you checked the wiring to the MAF plug?
chopper666 10 Posted August 25, 2015 I've had a look at the wiring it all seams OK as far as I can see
fendervg 33 Posted August 25, 2015 These are the options from ARZ - both Bosch http://www.arz-tuning.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p10481_Mass-Air-Flow--MAF--Sensor-VW-Corrado---Golf-III---Passat---Jetta-III---Vento---VR6-with-VIN---50-R-000-001.html/MSsid/789lhntobdkb6ib5ef6hjemam2 http://www.arz-tuning.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p10484_Mass-Air-Flow--MAF--Sensor---VW-Corrado---Golf-III---Passat---Jetta-III---Vento---VR6-up-to-VIN-50-P-020-000.html/MSsid/789lhntobdkb6ib5ef6hjemam2 The second one is the more expensive earlier one I have on my 93 VR with distributor - check your part numbers and chassis to be sure.
