Isn't it where someone ups your reputation?

 

Say you are a constant source of useful nuggets then you up their reputation with the button below their user name info on the left (up and down arrow). This way a new user would be able to gauge how good/reliable the information that user is posting actually is.

though I cant find where you view your own reputation things

I think it's a great idea, new people will know who they can rely on for information.

 

I think the box under where it say "**CF Donator**" etc changes once you have enough reputation. Should be more widely used IMO
