ChrisL 18 Posted September 29, 2015 this looks alright, bit of a poor advert though. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Corrado-Storm-Metalic-Green-2-9-Low-Mileage-One-owner-from-new-/111783800506?hash=item1a06d56eba Wonder what it will sell for
MarkR 11 Posted September 29, 2015 I stumbled across this earlier. But short in the detail!!
delfinis38 1 Posted September 30, 2015 Nice... Looks like some old chaps... But no aircon... Wrong colour for me.... Looks genuine..
emmib 10 Posted September 30, 2015 there is also a 16v on ebay for £8000 with 38000 on clock, seems slightly overpriced for a valver?
delfinis38 1 Posted September 30, 2015 there is also a 16v on ebay for £8000 with 38000 on clock, seems slightly overpriced for a valver? Yup that's been on pistonheads for a very long time....
robrado974 1 Posted September 30, 2015 Really gone to town on selling that .
Jim 2 Posted September 30, 2015 Seems a crazy time to sell really, unless his hand has been forced. Prices on Corrado's like that are only going to one one way at this point. I'll lay bets now that a trader will pick that up and it'll be up for sale on a 'specialist' forecourt for 10k in a few weeks time.
MarkR 11 Posted September 30, 2015 One bid at £6k and the reserve has not been met.
j_s14a 0 Posted September 30, 2015 Still has 5 days left though. If someone were to pick that up for under £8k, that would be a bargain. As said previously, the price of late, low miles cars in that condition are only going to go up now. The car is in York, which is also where I'm based if anyone whos seriously interested would like me to go and give it a quick look over for them? :)
Chuggs1 10 Posted September 30, 2015 Bit sparse on details which is strange - would have thought someone selling that would be marketing it better
j_s14a 0 Posted September 30, 2015 I offered to go and look around the car for him, and give him some pointers for his advert and the content of it, but he's declined saying he's already getting loads of interest as it is.
C5 OEM 0 Posted September 30, 2015 Just spoke to the guy he is selling on behalf of his father, no real details just that its never had any paint or repairs just been serviced by the vw garage every year....
emmib 10 Posted October 5, 2015 only 15 mins to go its got 3 bids on up to £6,300 BUT reserve not been met as yet the stealth conversion one with the shrick cams and total engine rebuild failed to sell at 4750 its now been relisted and has bids on and is on 1750 when i last checked, a lovely car with all that doe spent on it,
delfinis38 1 Posted October 5, 2015 7900 and reserve not met.
Chuggs1 10 Posted October 5, 2015 They were having a laugh in that case. All for prices going up but that may have been pushing it especially with such a rubbish advert.
delfinis38 1 Posted October 5, 2015 They were having a laugh in that case. All for prices going up but that may have been pushing it especially with such a rubbish advert. Testing the water I guess.... Only tentative reason to sell. I reckon reserve must of been 10k.
Chuggs1 10 Posted October 5, 2015 Showing bids to the level they went to says something though
Billzeebub 1 Posted October 5, 2015 (edited) I sold my 94 M VR6 for just under £7k in July 2014. It had done 58k miles with 17 VAG service stamps, 2 previous owners, all old MOTs, huge file of history etc and everything worked perfectly with not a mark on it anywhere. The Aqua Blue Paint & Beige leather were pristine. This chap setting a reserve so high with little info seems ridiculous to me. A 50k mile 20 year old car could be a dogs dinner if it hasn't had work. The market for these cars generally isn't anywhere near that despite a few recent 'Dealer' pricing strategies & those cars haven't sold. MarkR 11 Posted October 5, 2015 I wonder if it is resisted or whether a deal is struck of eBay? Still it is very encouraging that someone is prepared to offer nearly £8k.
ChrisL 18 Posted October 5, 2015 One looks to have sold that was up for £9,990, don't know what it actually went for though. If the Storm is 10k worth, it should have had a much better write up and not just on eBay either.
