robrado974 1 Posted January 27, 2016 I didn't know you could get these , I replaced the clutch and brake rubbers a few months back . I would buy one too , it would make them look complete .
GlosterOx 0 Posted January 27, 2016 Yes, it is the MK1 Golf as I have one fitted as well! Ian.
seanl82 23 Posted January 27, 2016 Me too. If you just put into ebay 'VW accelerator pedal rubber' it'll come up with loads starting at less than a fiver. They are used across quite a few models and smarten the foot well up a bit!

davidwort 0 Posted January 27, 2016 I don't understand, a bare metal pedal allows your sole to move against the pedal to allow smooth control of the throttle, why put a rubber grip on it? It makes total sense on brake or clutch pedal but not the throttle.
seanl82 23 Posted January 27, 2016 I understand your logic David, but I've honestly never had a problem with smooth control of the throttle. Modern DBW cars use them and the the throttle is much more sensitive than the cable operated throttle, so don't think it's an issue tbh mate.
