Rick 0 Posted May 3, 2006 Yeah they do look better without the backing, looks really well done did you paint the fuel, tach etc needles red or do they come like that?
ben16v 0 Posted May 3, 2006 Rick, nail varish mate hooker red colour  the gauge ones from an audi already that colour i know there gonna light up a different colour to my dash so that might be my next job, think they`re more an orange glow than red
ben16v 0 Posted June 6, 2006 right then time for an update: gauges all fitted and working with dash light changed to match the reddish audi colour (cheers Riley) had a dent man go to work on my car through a mate @ Jag £50 and he got a shocker outta my bonnet, few on the rear flanks and loads in the doors, and today i`ve been burning away in the sun geting some new-ish wheels fitted very happy!!!! ben

Dr Forinor 0 Posted June 6, 2006 Loving those wheels mate, exactly the ones I want. Are those 16s? How much is your car lowered by?
ben16v 0 Posted June 6, 2006 dr forinor 16 x 7 mate lowered 30mm on koni/H&R surprised actually as i think it rides better on the 16`s than 15`s didnt like it on 17`s but it could be down to the tyres i reckon
CaiosG60 PWR 0 Posted June 6, 2006 Like the wheels mate. Did you get those dings on your door sorted as I cant see them in the picture?
Dr Forinor 0 Posted June 7, 2006 Thanks for the info mate, definitely confirmed that I will be sticking to those wheels :)
Lippy 0 Posted June 7, 2006 what you done with your old rims mate? car looking pukka :D interesting you say that runs better on 16s than 15s. I've swopped my 17s for a set of sebrings, the difference is unbelievable. The ride is so much more forgiving but still has that Rado sticky feeling going around bends. Anyway, nice work!
CaiosG60 PWR 0 Posted June 7, 2006 The difference in ride could be down to the tyres. When I replaced my proxys with F1 GSD3s the car felt so much better to drive. Somehow it felt a lot more even. If those are as I suspect Sams old wheels. I think he had some expensive tyres on them, rainsports or something.
Bally 0 Posted June 7, 2006 looking good ben...
mrbeige 0 Posted June 7, 2006 Looking good dude! Loving the rims and your clocks look like mine now 8) 8) See I don't understand, you're running Koni/H&R setup like mine, but yours is way lower than mine! I don't get it???
ben16v 0 Posted June 7, 2006 what you done with your old rims mate? keeping them for winter so i can get these refurbed interesting you say that runs better on 16s than 15s. I've swopped my 17s for a set of sebrings, the difference is unbelievable i swapped my old 17`s for BBS 15`s and it was 10x better, i`ve since changed the suspension and these 16`s have good tyres (rainsports) which i think is helping the matter you're running Koni/H&R setup like mine, but yours is way lower than mine! i`ve had the suspension about a year now mate and it is settling in, front still a tad too high and i got some spring plates to go on but i`ve heard negative things about `em... we`ll see. TBH the pic in my sig is a good one making it look lower than it is
