Stolen Corrado - help

Recommended Posts

Put this on the group on Facebook earlier tonight but it seems my Aqua Blue VR6 has been stolen from my street in London.

If anyone sees or hears of anything thats trying to be moved on discretely then please let me know - I'm going to assume it may get broken.

Car was not a show queen but had '000s spent last year after a period off the road. It had several of the obvious and less obvious mods which may appeal to people if it gets taken apart.

Thanks for any info you might come across - seems a shame for it to go out after owning it 16 years..

Sorry to hear, I posted and saw on your FB group. We will keep an eye out, especially for the specialist parts I know you don't necessarily want to mention but if they come to market it will be obvious.

Was the car stolen and driven or taken on a flat bed?

sorry to hear that john, makes you not want to own a decent car or even look after it. Hopefully the coverage on FB will turn something up soon.

I think I'd be surprised if it was driven with the immobiliser and alarm unless they knew the cars in detail - they definitely didn't have any keys. One door handle was broken though as I found part of it.

Also there was no disturbance to the dirt in front or behind the wheels so to me it seems like it was lifted. Seems mad to me to take that risk with a truck for an old 4-figure car.

Thanks Hasan - yes, thought I might lose a badge off it at worst these days, but definitely not for it to be stolen.

Missed this before, that's absolutely gutting and a worst nightmare.  It's definitely a fear I had living in London.

Has there been any news?

Ive got a tracker on mine, just so there is still some hope if this type of thing happens. Although not much help for dukest it is something to consider for those with no garage parking.
You could just use an old iPhone wired in charging behind the dash or hidden above the roof lining or similar, if the car disappears use the find my iPhone app. This is how we found the guy that burgled my daughter at uni and recovered all her stuff and car. He turned her iPad on and that was him lifted a couple of hours later.

Yep, that's a good idea. If I ever get anything unusual again I'll give it a go.

No news - guess there won't be now sadly.
