  1. I have cured the warm starting problem i had....in the form of a £250 service! I guess it was dodgy spark plugs or leads... :-)
  2. If i only change the back box then maybe it will not be too loud. I've gone past the stage of wanting a loud car....
  3. Cool..... I been looking at getting a back box that actually sits 'straight' on the back....instead of at an angle like the vr6 standard one does. The only thing i dont want is a loud boy racer exhaust.....as my engine sounds too good to spoil 8) Do you know what the noise is like on these?
  4. Is this the back box yor interested in getting?
  5. No worries....just let me know if you need any help and i'll try and answer you questions.
  6. Its much easier than that im glad to say. There's a black strip of panelling at the rear most part of the roof (inside). You can get to it by opening the boot. Pull that off (carefully and then you wont break the clips) and then gently lower the roof lining(no clips or glue) and you can get to the bolt that holds the base on. Undo the bolt with a 22mm open ended spanner....then unplug the base (plug is about 6 inches down the wire from the base) and thats it. Just reverse that to fit the new one. It took me about 15 mins to do...and probably saved a lot of money at the dealer :)
  7. I just had my aerial ripped out....and it knackered my base as well :x I had to buy a new base from VW as no-where else sells them (that i could find). Its all fixed now and i have a nice new un-faded aerial base....BUT it cost my £62 quid!!!! Oh.....and by the way.....i'm a student and i'm pretty sure it wasnt another one that broke it....more like a scum bag drunken wan#er with a group of drunken yobs. Funny....if i could have seen them running off i'd 'av quite happily put a dent in my bonnet running the son bit#h down!! Anyway....back to the problem....they are pretty easy to fit as well...so if the worst comes to the worst...you will have a nice new aerial and be £62 worse off....
  8. Its been doing it since i've had the car....a year now. I reckon if it was the fuel pump it'd have knackered by now maybe.... The only thing i can think is that yor right with the crank sensor....or the fuel pressure is dropping due to the regulator or fuel pump...or the 5 injector??
  9. My car is a good starter when cold. The only problem i have is when i need to pull out from a junction quickly when cold, because if i go above 4k revs, the engine seems to start firing on 4-5 cylinders for a few seconds and then clears itself. Its a real arse when you need to pull out into a small gap quickly! Its almost as if the engine has a safety cut out to stop you driving it hard when cold. But i dont think its that clever! I really am stumped! :(
  10. Salesman?? If they'd pay me then i might try...hahaha. It is a GPS receiver that has all the waypoints/co-ordinates of speedcamaras and mobile speed camara hotspots in the UK. So it doesnt actually detect them...it just knows where they are with the aid of satelites...pretty clever eh. It also shows you yor exact speed as well....so when your doing 160mph according to yor VR6 speedo...on a German Autobarn while racing (and keeping up with!!!) an audi TT quattro...you know yor actually only doing 155mph :( I dont think it comes in different colours but it might have changed now as i've had mine for 18months. May a bit of hammerite would do the job though.....
  11. I would go out and get some if not for the fact i cant see what the hell they look like! Do they look cool and are they good simply because they work so much better than the corrado ones? Here's a screen shot of my pc when i try to look at pics....
  12. Yeah im logged in. I just see a table with this inside it -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- wiper mod 003.jpg Description: Filesize: 141.87 KB Viewed: 10 Time(s) Any ideas? I have been putting the link to my pictures...thats the only way i can see them....
  13. kvwloon, why cant i view your pics? I wanna see them as i am thinking of getting some lupo wipers... :)
  14. Hi Guys, Are these the style you are talking about? This was my car as i was fitting the lights (yes they still needed adjustment in the pic) and it makes a massive difference to the super orange lenses that used to be on my car :) Mine are in-pro design industries and cost me £230 but it was worth it as i wasnt making a special journey to germany for a pair! Here's my link; http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/attachments/dsc00542_2.jpg (excuse the filthy car...i aint too good at cleaning!)
  15. louis robinson, I had my C done in Norwich at a place called Clearview. They do a lot of tinting for the main dealers such as Lexus, Mercedes, Landrover, and they are pretty good at is as well. There were no bubbles on my car at all when i got it back....and it cost me about £200...so i was well happy :) Have a look...... http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/attachments/dscf0274_2.jpg PS. Beware all you Corrado owners....window tinting can be a nightmare if you dont remove those damn window runners inside the door! The first thing i knew about them was when my tinting started to get all marked from where my window was opening and closing :x
