    ET 42 ok?

Off the top of my head its 56.6 but i'll check the guide when i'm back in the office. even if they don't rub the shocks i'd want spacers on coz they'll sit too far in :| hutchy
  3. Since dropping my c on coilovers (100 to 120mm ) i've noticed that the rear wheels have moved forward in the arches. i understand why its happened i just wondered if they can be adjusted to sit more central ( when lookin at the car from the side ). any help appreciated :?: hutchy
  4. the wheels will be spot on mate they are def a 5/100 the centre bore is also perfect 57.1 and the offset won't really matter in that size. however the tyres are likely to be a 205/55/16 which is quite a bit to baloon like for the corrado, you'd be better with 205/45's. still cheap tho. hutchy. p.s check if the bolts are the same, the leon will have a 14mm bolt so you'll need your 12mm bolts of the corrado for them.
  5. I'll have def one mate in the clear lexan. when will we need to pay cos i'm a bit skint at the mo too  when would you be 'hoping' for these to be ready ( i watched the progress of the last lot) :) hutchy
  6. They are made by a fairly new company called dj wheels who arer distrubuted by a company called sherbrook international limited. Try http://www.sherbrook.com they are not very expensive from new but if there in as good condition as the one in the pic then thats not a bad price. we'd probably turn em out at about £535 fitted. i think they would look a treat on your rado tho. get em on. :D
  7. after reading henny's post i will mostly be ordering some new engine mounts :( had my car on the rollers the other day and the engine was practicaqlly leaning over the front bumper  still pulled 150bhp at the fly tho so i'm happy :) hutchy.
  8. cheers for you help fellas, i've just been out and bought some 10cms for the dash and 13cm's for the doors, i'll wack em in tonight :) hutchy.
  9. its got speakers in the doors. so its 10cm speakers for the dash corners, what about the little centre one?? cheers mate i'll prob get some aftermarket ones. hutchy
  10. I also cannot find any wiring in the holes, or any evidence that speakers have ever been screwed in there??? it has speakers in the door pods that work tho? its all very dissapointing, i was hoping to replace all the speaker wires with new, and get all five speakers in the front working as well as my 6x9's at the back. hutchy.
  11. I,ve just prised off the 'speaker covers' in the corner of my dash as i was going to wire up the speakers which i thought would be in there (i just presumed there was no sound because they were disconnected) . However the holes are completely empty??? :( They are speaker covers aren't they? its a 1990 1.8 16v, with no sunroof, manual windows and elec mirrors, i believe its quite an early one. It should still have come with speakers there tho surely?? :?: cheers hutchy.
  12. I had the same golf ( with the same mods ) as you before my 16v corrado. the golf wouldn't have touched the corrado in my opinion. either my golf wasn't runnin right or your corrado isnt :? good luck gettin it sorted tho, once there right its a really good step up from the 1.6 8)
  13. coxylaad- true.....true 8) the diesels do pull when the turbo kicks in but they fade out just as fast as they came in. I don't find them very enjoyable to drive and have beaten a few in my 16v

    8x17 et20?

16V TISH is runnin 8x17's with an et10 (inc adaptors) with a 205/40/17 tyre, he's had a few arch issues to say the least, his cars runnin on coilovers and is sat pretty low mind. might be worth givin him a pm? hutchy
  15. i got outbid in the last few seconds.........dirty ebay  but i sorted another one, its brand new. apparently the guy bought it for his nephew, started it up and his nephew hated it so its for sale  it should be here on monday or tuesday :-P i'll need a new body soon cos its got a 206 rally body on it  could i not just buy a shell on my own..........please :?
  16. ooops  too late just bought one, its got a novarossi .15 racing engine with an uprated exhaust and air filter(said proudly with no idea what i'm talking about ) :) its a new shape 911 body. i'll definitely have to look out for matchsticks though coz it does 60-70 mph  any news on the corrado bodies, i know there was a thread a while ago but i can't find it :(
  17. Suppose this does class as car chat :) but not sure if you'll be able to help? i'm considerin gettin one of these, soon. i'll be lookin for a 1/10th scale , touring car style. would'nt mind a corrado body if poss and do a bit of a replica to mine. BUT.......i'll only have about £300 maximum to spend. i might be able to salvage some radio gear from one of my 'old projects'. So may not need that. has anyone got any recommendations of new or used cars for sale?? much appreciated 8) hutchy.
  18. I like dr mat's suggestion. i've phoned easytrack and am waiting for a call back regarding the caterhams 8) cheers guys. any more recommendations will be appreciated :)
  19. I'm tryin to choose one for my birthday in november and would appreciate any feed back. i'm considering the single seater circuit ones or maybe the supercar eg porsche, noble m12 etc. are they worth the money eg do you get a decent amount of track time as they're all a bit vague. i've got about £295 max at my disposal. cheers
  20. mine too  can be a bit bumpy, but wallowing around at 120mm drop just wouldn't work would it  like henny says the lower you go the bumpier/stiffer they get but thats the point, you need them to.. Bottom Line - BUY EM 8)
  21. Saw a purpley grey vr6 on 17" five spokes on sunday first in prestwich then again going into trafford park as i was leaving. Probably getting dragged round the manchester and trafford centre shops by the missus like me  also saw a red C with 15" or 16" stealths? at the start of deansgate in manchester on the same day? any takers :?:
  22. just a note you MAY not need bolts, if you are getting 5+ full turns on the bolts that is fine. although if you go for the 8mm's it is LIKELY you will. also you would not necessarily need a set for the back, it would make no noticable difference. ( to the drive ) 8)
  23. do you want these spacers then? or has this been a test :D
  24. hi mate, The limit you can get in a standard non hub-centric spacer is 8mm, this will be ok as the rim will still be supported and centered by the hub. you will be suprised how much difference the 8mm or even a 5mm spacer will make to a rubbing wheel ! ie unless it is rubbing very badly then you may only need a 3mm or 5mm. I have a pair of 5mm spacers here you can have for £25 posted or i can get you a pair of 8mm for £35 posted. i would stick my neck out and say there is no way you will need a 10mm spacer for this problem unless your struggling to drive the car as it is  give me a bell if you like - 07968 620 318 danny.
