  1. Turn it slightly so the right hand side comes toward you then move over as far to the left as pos will give you a little more room. Not much but enough to see the tube.
  2. Your best bet would be sticky back felt which can be bought from any hobby shop. It will do the same as the foam which is to create a seal but allow for movement without causing rattle noise.
  3. I found that the bolts in the scutle are easier to get to if the wiper motor and assembly are removed cos it gives more room to get your hand in. Goldfinger has got a good guide for dash removal with pics that show where all the screws go.
  4. My motor hasn't got one so I guess that's the case with all early motors.
  5. Will go have a look now. Cheers
  6. Slightly off topic but do early sunroof motors have the Allen key to move the motor manually. I have taken mine out and still can't find it.
  7. Is it possible that a sensor thinks the sun roof is open so when the closure of the alarm kicks in it tries to shut the roof. This is based on a guess that the motor spins one way to bring it backwards and the opposite way to close it which would be the same direction to tilt it. Might explain why it won't go back cos it thinks it's already open. Just a thought.
  8. Do you have rain playing on full blast while working on the car?
  9. Does the roof go back slightly then stop or won't move at all backwards?
  10. I might be able to help you out with that.
  11. Hello mate are the mats still available?
  12. Your not wrong. Just goes to show no matter how clean it looks there is always something lurking to spoil the day. All thanks to half an inch of missed sealant round the top corner.

    Windscreen

I'm in need of a new windscreen. Any ideas as where I can buy one from and what sort of price am I looking at? Also what other parts do I need?
  14. I thought the matrix had gone and that's why the carpets were wet turns out the matrix is fine and very possibly been changed before but. Then I notice a spot of rust in the bottom corner of the screen so removed the screen (which was cracked anyway) and found the above.
  15. Took mine out yesterday and found 2 screws which I don't think are on the guide. They are in the lower section. Can take pics later. Also if anyone needs pics let me know and I'll take em for you will dash is out. Glad I took out dash as found rust which wasn't able to see until dash was out. No wonder the carpets were soaked.
  16. No probs. I'm in the same boat pay day can't come soon enough
  17. Hornchurch Essex. To the best of my knowledge the seats will go straight in door cards are slightly different but will fit.
  18. Should have said this applys to the bolt in the door shut.
  19. A word of warning the screw that holds the handle is reverse thread so not righty tighty lefty losy. I know I'm sad. Not 100% sure if it's the case for both sides but is for drivers side.
  20. You never know what you find until you start to pull it apart. I have striped the interior of the black one over the weekend everything apart from the dash which I'm building myself up for. The amount of stuff I have found wrong but the worst was no bolt in the passenger lower seat belt bar. Glad I got it trailered home.
  21. No probs. if you do come down I would still expect a brekie cooked on a plate so I can bung it in the microwave lol. And if it's as good as you say I might even take you out in which ever G60 is working that day.
  22. I can't come to you but if you fancie a trip to sunny Essex would have no probs doing it for you. Even have a spare spoiler mech just in case.
  23. Apologies for the poor pics can't find my camera charger. Have more pics I can email if interested. Will consider using a courier if buyer pays costs. Cheers.
  24. Top man. Didn't have the confidence to pull as hard as you need to to get them buggers off. Smacked myself in the nose in the process which is all ya need in the cold. lol cheers
