Are they the same for all trim types/years? I may have one available. I can raid the shed and check it's condition this weekend.

Mint looking Burgundy VR6 (I think) about 20 minutes ago. Driving on Gibbet Hill (Coventry) I was flashing my lights and thumbing up in my little Suzuki. Don't think the driver saw me but he had one big huge smile on his face. His smile was so big that it has prompted me to get mine out and go for a spin.:)

Lovely looking white Corrado inside Hall 3 at the NEC today. Not sure what type as I was busy and it was at the other end of the Hall. Will go and have a closer look tomorrow. Anyone?

Currently running on a set of Prosports (no idea of the actual model type) I bought the car with certain faults that I was happy to fix up and spend the money on. After a few days of tinkering I discovered additional faults (as you do) one of them being no gas in the o/s/r strut. I just figured that this is one area where I could try and save a bit of money as it is starting to get expensive. I would be happy to buy a full set if the price is right and the merch is good :) @ fendervg thanks for the advice.

Need a pair of rear coilovers for J reg G60 if anyone can help please. Based in Warwickshire

Hi quicky Good to know there is some signs of life close to me  I know of a couple more in Leamington and one in Banbury that are not registered here. It's a shame really, but it seems quite a few owners do not bother with the Corrado Forum sadly. If you fancy a meet up and half a shandy some time that would be cool.

Thank you for the links vagstaff :thumbleft:

I've noticed AP's mentioned elsewhere on the net so they will take a look. Thanks!

Got the exhaust sealed today. Turns out the last person to work on it put the short through pipe on back to front. That would explain why there was no slot cut in what I thought was the outer sleeve. Wonder what else I will find fitted on back to front.....

Possibly Jabba Sport may sell and post you one. Brian http://www.jabbasport.com/

It certainly is, frustrating though not having the necessary equipment to tackle certain jobs I know I could do myself. Still, I have enjoyed it so for, except for the endless jacking the car up to get it all done :bonk:

Great, thanks for the replies chaps. While I have the thread open..does anyone have any recommendations for best makes of coilovers please. One of my rears has no gas in it sadly, although you'd never notice with the tautness of the springs. Currently running on some Pro Sports. Don't want to spend the earth but I know enough to stay away from those lovely Chinese offerings. Thanks guys!

Bought a G60 the other day and have been busy titivating certain things the last few days. Fitted new Drop Links, new rear discs and pads, cleaned the wheels and fixed and re-sprayed the broken front lip spoiler. Tested the dead rear spoiler. I think it's the motor. Raised the coilovers as it was ridiculously low and then looked in horror at the new adverse front wheel camber. The top mounts are also perished so I decided to adjust the camber best I could by eye and then have it set up properly after I replace the mounts. Needed to toe in the tracking a little also. Tried to refit and seal the sports exhaust without much success, seems there is no slots cut in the joints which means it will not clamp down properly. I bought some new clamps and sealer today and have my hacksaw ready for tomorrows attempt!

The top rubber mounts of my front coilovers are perished. My question is... ....do I need to buy specific top mounts from the makers of my coilovers, or do all coilover manufacturers make theirs to fit the standard VW mounts? Thanks in advance

Ok chaps that pretty much answers it for me. Thanks

I'm will exchange a couple of photos with the guy to be sure. Hopefully you are correct. Thanks for the reply.

Is the steering column cowling different between the early and late models?? Thanks in advance

I shall inform him of his fame at the weekend.

That will probably be the guy I know around the corner from me. He is not registered here. Was it set back off the road in front of a small block of flats?

Sad to hear you've blown your charger. If the casing is smashed it is pretty much the end I would have thought. They are £2500 new at VW Heritage so best bet will be to find a second hand one if possible. I know that Brian at Jabba Sport has a few spare casing etc and might be able to fix you up. Probably worth a call.

I removed a pair of handles the other day and noticed only the nearside had the back plate. I wondered if the off side was meant to have a back plate as well, the striker had been replaced and I presumed it may have been left off after the repair. Not sure what the back plate does, can anyone fill me in please?

There used to be a foam seal of some description stuck to the intake manifold of the airbox. Does anyone know the correct type of seal used and where to purchase it, or a suitable alternative please? Thanks in advance.
