  1. You don't need the fixing screw - it causes more problems than solves really. Just leave it off then you won't have the problem again.
  2. Madjackal, please don't dupe threads. Use your other thread for your MoT problems. Thread locked.
  3. I have a crappy one in mine, so can't leave the car longer than 7 days, so yeah, what the hell... The VR alts be ok with charging the red tops, then?

    reverse lights help!

Don't think you actually need reverse lights for the MoT. My g/f's Fiesta got through one a couple of months ago without 'em. I thought you needed 'em too, but the guy was insistant it wasn't required..... P.S. Most likely the switch on the gearbox. Discussed many times, try the search.
  5. I didnt realise it was an offence to keep up with an emergency vehicle, obviously if its parting the traffic like Moses and the red sea, you cant dive into the gap after him, but on an empty road, if you keep up with one you can be prosecuted! Found that out when nosky had his funny turn and I 'kept up' with the ambulance in his skyline ;) I've over-taken an ambulance on the motorway, with his full-blues on. Does that count? ;)
  6. Early headlights sit further back than late ones. It's purely a style thing really. If you have a late grille and/or a eyebrow spoiler, it sometimes doesn't look right with early lights being recessed a little.

    My

£56 for 1x pair of Scirocco GT wipers. (Comes with free Scirocco) Bargain ;) Looks good! It's a winter run-around - don't worry about the rust! Just as long as the cabin is dry, it'll do fine. Would make a good CF donation when you're done with it too hehe.

    Tom Tom Go

JoeNose, do you have the TomTom GO, or the newer 300/500/700s? The Go's mounts were redesigned for the 300/500/700s which are a lot better. They should afix better. Hope the Go was cheap. The 300s are only £284.99 in Carphone Warehouse at the moment.
  9. /me wants a V8 Monaro How about Australian Muscle Cars? :)
  10. Yeah, least we drive on the correct side of the road. Stupid Yanks and Europeans! :) lol
  11. Surely it depends on how fast you're going :-P
  12. Welcome to Rip-Off UK. Where it costs the average weekly US salary to fill your car up with crap-octane fuel. But we can go into a hospital when dying and be fixed (eventually) without having to remember to pay our insurance premiums.
  13. Well that's as clear as mud... Ok, are we behind in 'Import Performance'? What makes you think we are?
  14. Pfff, A-Team referrences, I ask ya'..... *cough* Oops *cough* Jim - I like it ;)
  15. Dammit, why couldn't they call it a Corrado Mk2 - wouldn't have to change the name of the forum then!
  16. It's when the crappy EDL (sorta traction control) is trying to work but failing due to a fault somewhere. It's not a sensor, it'll be a wiring fault or ABS ECU problem. I have it too. You need VAG-COM to tell you exactly what's up. One of my 'get around to it' jobs.
  17. dr_mat, agreed. Even if you did have full power in 1st, you wouldn't be able to put the power down in this weather.
  18. I'd use corrado-forum.net on any material though, as that URL will always point to whereever the forum is hosted (the-corrado.net at the moment).
  19. In future, please use the search. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10986 Thread locked.
  20. Isn't there someone from the Stealth Rolling Road meet just gone that is booking their VR into Stealth for a OBDI to II conversion? Must be possible ;)
  21. but this is in 'General Car Chat' which is for 'For the inane car chat that's not really suitable anywhere else!' so I don't see the problem! I nearly bought a R32 a couple of years ago - was a Diamond Black too! ;)
  22. Ah yes - its another one of those 'get around to it' jobs... they're all sprayed up and ready and have been for months now!!
  23. And USE THE SEARCH! Very heavily documented on here. Because of that, I'm locking this.
  24. Big hole on the middle of the panel that the headlights attach to - that's because you need to put a screw-driver down there and undo the THIRD screw ;)
  25. Tend to agree with Tom here - yes, wonderful advice - but why do you think he's giving it? ;)
