Do you have an aftermarket stereo by any chance?
-
If the speed sensor is linked to the stereo somehow, where is the sensor for the spoiler actually situated? Speedo? ECU?
Might help "too hot"'s message here.
-
Whereabouts in Derbyshire are you?
Will try and remember to check my workshop manual for where the sender is for you.
-
Oh yes
-
-
That can't be too easy in a Corrado - they aint exactly the most spacious of cars!
Easier than my previous car: MX5 :!:
So easy in comparison
-
I have tinted windows so I can have sex in the car...
Ask my Mrs. ;)
I have all 4 side windows and rear window tinted with a medium tint. Works well with the blackberry paint.

The VR6 engine has a knock sensor, so the engine timing is adjusted so pinking cannot occur.
Is this not so for the 16v and 8v?
I would assume the G60 would have a knock sensor, being forced induction.

Turbo'ing cars brings up lots of advantages/disadvantages - it all depends on how much money you want to throw at the project.
Can do it very cheaply, low boost without an intercooler for £1200-1500 (with the people I know) or you could throw £4k at it and end up with something quite mental....
Best person I know is in Bluewater area - but thats about 2hrs 30mins from Bristol!
He is a god though - will just make up a manifold etc. on the spot and does anything you want....
Saying that, of course we have some masters on the board too.. pd-motorsport. Have a chat with Darren at http://www.pd-motorsport.co.uk and for being on here you'll get a 5% discount :D

ImageStation stuff won't work.
Download the pictures onto your PC (or use the ones you already have) and attach them to a message (use the proper reply - not the "Quick" thing at the bottom).

Haven't checked... will do when I next go out :)
-
I like the way its easier to have sex in than an MX5.
Now that is a mission........ can be done though ;)
Erm, yeah, and the electric spoiler...
-
Hey Nik... I like the rear lights :D
Hehehe
-
It is with Adrian Flux after playing them off of Greenlight.
Also got all mods included too (alloys, tinted windows, induction kit).
People have moaned about Adrian Flux - but I have had absolutely no problem, and have my shite diesel van insured with them too - which was a £1k with most places (no NCD on it you see) and they said £714.
The full RAC cover for nothing is a boon too.

^--- lives on silly island
-
And don't forget my 6 points for speeding!
-
Indeed... despite having secured myself a policy at a cost of 1600 quid this year with direct line (21 years old, no claims, 2 years NCD) I have still be looking - amusingly I am getting quotes of up to £3200 - I wil be definately shopping around again when this current policy expires though.Ouch m8!
I'm 22, 2yrs ncb, and on a VR6. Managed £1111 fully comp.

I live in Surrey..
And I don't drive the MX5 at the moment, since I can't afford all the insurance, so that lives in the garage and gets a blast most weekends by my Dad. He loves the car - so does my mum!!
Slightly surreal seeing my parents driving my mod'd up mota'!
-
Well, I keep mentioning it, so here's my MX5...
H-reg ('91) with 63k miles on the clock :)
And to say its "modified" is, erm, an understatement
It will quite happily hit the rev. limiter in 5th.
And comes into it own when throwing it into corners, roundabouts, etc.
And the flames, they are due to the aggresive engine timing - give a lot more poke at higher revs, only drawback, flames out the exhaust... damn!
Not quite a hair-dressers car now!

CAT-bypass generally give you a bit more noise, and if you're lucky, one of two extra bhp.
Depends on the pipe though - it is said that some straight CAT-pipes do actually cause a whirl effect which increase back-pressure, so you actually loose power.
The Corrado is one of a very few cars that actually have a very good exhaust system on them in the first place.
Most Jap cars can free up 5-10bhp when replacing the exhaust with a performance, stainless steel system and de-CATing.
The ol' C though - not a lot happens.
So its your choice.
You may find the emission tests are less-forgiving when you are de-CAT'd - the car has to be running right. With the CAT in place, you have a larger margin of error.
My MX5 is deCAT'd, and it fails the emissions when cold, but fine when retested, so gets through :D
-
Very cool 8)
-
Would lurve a proper sunroof.
First car had a glass sunroof, and my second car, erm, didn't have a roof... 8)
And my C is my 3rd car.
-
Damn, that would be sweeeet.
Whats the costs gonna be like though?
-
Well, mine is a '94 VR6, in Blackberry metallic, with grey leather interior.
Electric, heated, recaro's, everything else electric, as per usual, plus the added bonus of aircon.
Some other rare features: head-lamp washers and protectors.
I've added a Stoeve Motorsport induction kit, to release the VR6 beast :)
Current mileage, 178k - but full VW history and is often mistaken for under 78k miles :D
Now sporting 17inch Audi RS4-replica wheels after some "nice person" decided to come round a blind corner in the middle of the road, giving me the option to hit him head on, or the curb. I chose the curb and buckled both left alloys, ripping the tyres off the wheels.
Currently on original suspension. No plans to lower, since too many speed-bumps around my area.
MONTHLY GET TOGETHER!!
