Haha. I was a bit confused by the enthusiastic waving. Noticed a few around this part of Salisbury recently.

If the engine is securely held with a jack then you may be ok. You might want to support the underside of that beam as well.You might struggle to line the bumper bolts up when it comes to re-fitting if the beam moves.

I didn't mention horses. But I imagine they would be interesting if they tried to get in the drivers side of a lowered 90's coupe through the windscreen.

Anyway, you never know what the ****ers are going to get up to, there's plenty of cover in the gorse on the right for one to pop out.

I do a lot of work in the New Forest now. It's easy to get things wrong there, as demonstrated by the two girls killed in Lyndhurst last weekend. I also spend time removing bits of cars and people from roads when things don't go to plan.

However clever your editing is, it's still glamorising driving inappropriately for the area. I'm not saying I adhere to speed limits, or drive appropriately all the time, but I don't try to make myself look fancy on the internet.

Start spraying the heater box studs on the inside of the engine bay with WD40 now. If they do start to spin in the plastic, they usually unwind. Good luck. X

The G60 and the 16v had different fittings. You might well have a 16v set of pipes by the sound of things.

In the boot, on the inside of the rear panel, not far from the spare wheel.

Cheers. Need to have a little think as my gearbox has had noisy layshaft bearings since I fitted it.

How many miles on the gearbox? did it work nicely? Hows the shift tower?

Dunno, it was bought in one of the early group buys, before they had a distributor in the UK. I think Kev ran it, but it was a loooooong time back, maybe 5 years? Just put it back together and there is no noise. I hope that the loctite will work for now. Going to try to get hold of one of the OE plastic ones (I should have one, but no idea where) as a back up.

Was wondering if anyone else has had issues with the Gruvenparts aux tensioner pulley? I've resurrected the VR6 after 11 months off the road and noticed a chattering noise recently. On further inspection it seems that the aluminium pulley has corroded slightly where the bearing fits, this corrosion product has broken down with vibration and allowed the bearing to move inside the pulley itself. This has resulted in more wear and eventually quite a lot of play and noise.

We've pulled it off (wheeeeeee) pressed the bearing out as a lip had formed as the pulley has worn, cleaned it up and hopefully stuck the bearing back in place for the time being with loctite. Currently giving it some time for the loctite to go off before trying it again.

Bit sad about this going wrong as it wasn't cheap back in the day. Might try and machine it out and fit a ring between the pulley and the bearing when I have more time.

This might be as a result of the corrado being off the road for an extended period of time.

Everyone love penetration. And use a proper hammer.

Put a bit of wood or similar in the gap between the brackets and lever them apart a touch. I think only one of the lumps move so the pulley remains lined up properly.

I think my alternator came from Euro Car Parts a few years back. Can't remember much more than that though.

Finally found it. I think it might be supposed to attach to the plastic bracket on the engine mount that the knock sensors and crank sensor clip to. Mine is just cable tied to that bunch of wires so might possibly have clipped into the original fan cowling if it wasn't supposed to be on that clip.

I've got a funny feeling it might fit into a clip that should go round the crack pipe. I've not got that clip and I have a similar looking cable cable tied too it. It's been so long since I've properly been under the bonnet I just can't remember... Soz.

Drivers side of the lower bumper grille, there is a little hole it sticks in.
