Had one the other day, Driving through (a packed) Newquay in the blistering sunshine following a minted mk1 gti when i heard a chap say "check out the mk1, OOO and a corrado too, very nice!!" My girlfriend ALWAYS gets the chufties in the 'raddo tho, she was in the petrol station when some bloke stopped her and said "does it go as good as it looks? iv always liked those, the best looking car VW ever made"!!

Ha! Got it fixed!!!! Had the cat off 2day and found that it had no insides!!! Checked the lambda probe and it was working fine so i was left head scratching fora little while!! Had a further polk around to find the vacume pipe to the isv was loose and drawing air!! Tighten up the jublee clip and bobs ur uncle!! fixed!! God i really do love VW's!!! (again)

Hi! My rear window wiper is not working! Im pretty sure there is power going back there coz the rear washer jet is working! Taken the cover off the inside of the bootlid and everythig looks ok in there (no wires disconnected, no rusty parts!). Possibly relay? I dunno!!

Just out of interest redcorrado how much did helston garages charge you to do the diagnostic check? Think it might be worth running mine down so they can have a look!

I think you may encounter some problems because the 9a lump has a whole bunch of extras over the kr such as knock sensors, lambda probe and a cat just to mention a few! All of which will prob be a pain to wire in!

My drivers side door handle has just broken! Took it off to find a part of the casting has broken off! Will a passat handle fit because my local scrapyard is full of passats or do i need to buy a new Corrado one?? Ta!

No vac pipe!! Just the large multi-pin electrical plug. looked over the whole ecu and there is nowhere for a pipe to connect!! I was confused too!

Luckily as i bought the whole head iv got a spare set! Know what u mean tho, nearly lost them when i was taking the cams out on the bench! What is the sequence for replacing the rocker cover bolts?

Thats gonna be my next port of call! gonna get over the pit on sat! to be honest i think my exhaust system is getting knackered anyway so i might have to bin the whole system and buy a nice new shiny one! The cat is def looking rough!
