  1. Ok I took out the leads on my daily to try them on the satin project to find oil on the middle 2 and a little on the nearest the dizzy  this doesnt seem good to me :censored:

On the plus side... the dizzy cap, HT leads and coil from my Satin project are in the daily and seemed to have made a very noticeable difference in performance :luvlove:

The acceleration actually pushed me back into my seat, which hadnt happened for a long time in a any of my valvers :D

so im :mad2: about the oil but  and :D about the perceived performance gains

  2. Afternoon 8)

I had a few hours today on the valver to no success :mad2:

I swapped coils from my daily.. still no spark, the coil from my satin is now in the daily and working fine

I swapped HT Leads from my daily...still no spark, The HT leads from my satin are now in the daily working fine

I also swapped the dizzy cap but managed to break a connection from the lead from the coil :censored: so I need a new one. Still no spark

I had use of a multimeter and tested the power going into the coil and the plug was reading pretty much 12v

then I tested the lead from the coil ( this read about 9v ) to see if any voltage was being lost and to see the coil was functioning ok, the coil. But Im sure both coils work fine...

Not sure what else now   thanks again

  3. GSF do a pattern one (for the original part) which is cheap, it looks the part and I've had no trouble with it at all.

It's possible you just have the seal or valve damaged in the cap though, do you have the original black cap or the superceeding blue one?

reading you got a mk3 golf one?? is that a straight swap?

  4. I dont seem to have enough connections for the senders? My new(KR) head (my car is a 2.0l)

Ive got two, 2 pins on the side of the head

and 2 water temp senders which I have spade connections on

  6. I remember seeing a vinyl guy in a market upstairs recently( but that could have been cardiff) Now LePub is still going, as for anything else remotely intresting is saddly gone, newport gets worse. I don't think i'll be going out into Newport ever again.

WILLY I done 500 miles last weekend in my corrado from south wales to northwales via kidde. The car was great and the roads were amazing, now your probably just gonna do motorway miles so I'd take up the offer :ignore:

  7. went to finish off what I had left to do on the car, first i had to pick up the temp senders. They only got me 1 :censored: . Anyway I went up to the barn to finish what I could. So I ended up doing everything  only have the temp sender to fit when It arrives and add the coolant. Sunday I hope :D Then i can start the beast up I hope

TBH Im a little worried about the fuel injectors, How can I make sure they are fitted securely??

also had a fail with the bonnet catch, but thats sorted, I do need the horny/trumpety bit for the release cable, anyone?!?
