  1. Yea the silencer kit i'm not bothering with, never have been a subtle chap  G-werks said to keep in touch with my idea's for the car and whoever I spoke to was proper helpful, knew exactly what I was asking about and gave me prices right off the bat for the things I was looking to get done so I was really chuffed with just a basic phone call gave me pretty much a full picture for what I was looking to get done. How safe is the bbm running 22psi? If they last 200k i presume thats with standard boost? so running higher amounts I would think would shorten the life? Thanks for that post though man, really helped a lot :D
  2. For fast road/track driving the supercharger delivery really suits my driving style. And in the right gear at the right time at peak torque it did pull very fierce thorugh the revs so its not what Id consider boring lol. I made myself sound like a complete noob when I said get rid of the crap headlights, I meant it in the way of getting rid of them not the actual lights themselves, looking to fit an hid kit once I get the work done. Gave G-werks a little call yesterday and got myself sorted out with a little shopping list and prices :D Front mount intercooler including the ubend, red injectors, the bbm charger. I said to myself I wouldn't spend high amounts of money on the car but i'm already looking at a stage 3 clutch, lsd, forged pistons....hmm the list goes on  But yea big thanks for the advice guys, as always much apprieciated. Shall keep you all updated on the progress :D
  3. im not a big fan of the megane, however my mum got a new megane gt last year. its a 2.0 diesel 150bhp. really is a lovely car, just a shame its french. as mentioned earlier i do like the look of the laguna/aston from the back.. The megane R27's n that though are amazing, ok they may not be the best styling wise but I think renault are moving in the right direction. As you mentioned about them being french if they can come up trumps in the relability section then they good be onto a winner :)
  4. You got an hour  What kind of package was that then, thats awesome :D most packages just give you like 5 laps. Had been looking into doing experiences myself. Sounds like you've got the perfect missus as well man
  5. Cheers for that info Junkie, gonna go for a front mount, bigger injectors and the bbm. Have given darren an e-mail back as he replied telling me how much it would cost for a new charger. Would go for the other things but looking to spend the rest of the money on getting rid of the crap headlights, is quite dangerous on pitch black motorways if i'm honest and the wipers really are tosh. So a few things then an LSD will be next on the list to get the power down :D
  6. That does look damn similiar to the rear of a db9. Renault really are moving in the right direction I think with their styling. The normal megane looks too much like the scirocco though I think.
  7. I actually had thought about maybe going down the turbo route but I've really taken to the way a supercharger delivers the power, have driven quite a few turbo cars, 2 of them impreza's, the classic style and then the sti 7 bug eye shape which are all good but if ur cruising in 5th on the motorway put the foot down to overtake there is nothing there, now that I've had the g60 for a while I've really loved the way it delivers the power and just the fact there is that constant torque. The bbm is noisy stationary but its the performance bit i'm more looking into, the noise wouldn't bother me if I'm honest. Kinda swaying towards the bbm at the mo, still doing a lot of reading up on things tho. :) With getting a new intercooler mentioned would it be better to just get a front mount with the new charger? Rather than getting another small standard one?
  8. That looks like a crackin place :D Love the colour of those zr's, C looks luuuush 8)
  9. Little f**kin ar**holes :censored: :censored: :censored: I honestly don't get what goes through people's minds when it comes to vandalising cars, no f**king need. Good to see the police are sending a forensic out though, fingers crossed they can find the rat
  10. that is absolutely gorgeous, imagine the reaction on their faces opening up the garage and finding that  Aye I can bet that parts will be extremely rare for it especially if they only made 17 of them and the fact that its so old. But still 6 million, can hardly be laughed at can it
  11. To be honest the noise doesn't bother me, not wanting the stealth approach lol Will look into rotrex to find out the cost, cheers for the advice on the intake system, I'm guessing you mean on the actual intake of the engine?
  12. Much apprieciated for that jay, will defo keep it in mind bud. Have been rather tempted to go the extra mile and get a bbm screwcharger? I've got a decent bit of money sitting around which I had originally planned to spend tidying up the car, hid kit, tt wipers etc etc But now i'm thinking new charger may as well do it properly? Only thing is do I have to uprate my injectors and I'm guessin the car would need mapped for the new charger as well?
  13. I always warm the car up before giving it any kind of heavy throttle, I love the car to death and even though its had its little problems it doesn't stop the love. The thing is though it didn't hit the limiter, the revs went high but it didn't hit the limiter, just the speed of how quickly it broke traction, had given it a good 30 mile run at 70 on the motorway after it had been in the garage for nearly 4 weeks doing nout just to settle everything in again. There is no receipt for who done the rebuild, I think it was the mechanic who was good friends with the previous owner, had done pretty much the majority of work on it and knew his stuff so I think its just a case of bad luck Have e-mailed JMR, G-werks and Jabba for prices on a new one. :(
  14. Yea I was thinkin that :( Always had bad luck with red cars it would seem, 2 days after i got my 1st car which was a red pug 106 a women pulled out in front of me, then a couple of accidents which were mostly because of me and my young boy racer driving style lol Older and wiser now but the bad luck hasn't gone away, will have spent over 1k on the car in less than 2 months plus the cost of getting a new charger now. I'm not actually sure who done the rebuild on it, will have to look through the receipts :pale:
  15. Not actually sure why this has happened or have the tiniest idea. The supercharger has covered under 7000 miles since its rebuild by the previous owner. I put the foot down and couldn't get traction thanks to the greasy roads after going to have some banter with a mini cooper s revs went up very quickly, heard a little bang from underneath the bonnet heard a rattle, pulled over after a few hundred yards to find this..........on the day i get it back from the garage with the steering rack sorted and my brakes working this happens :confused4: :pukeright: Gutted isn't the word :pale:
  16. Millau bridge, the coast of france, monaco f1 circuit drive, stelvio to davos. Ahhh tis taking shape very nicely :D
  17. Aye I was happier with it, I've not actually had the car back yet, itching to get driving it again. In the end I was having so much hassle as the rack they had originally was for a left hand drive model then the rack i got from eurocarparts after asking the guy was it the right one turned out not to have the correct number of splines after i asked him to make sure it would be, so i eventually got another one (at this point the car had been in the garage nearly 3 weeks) which was perfect in everyway but again the wrong feckin number of splines lol It was the high pressure lines on my steering rack that were knacked originally so he suggested just swapping the pipes from the new one over to the old one which is in perfect condition, no leaks etc. So I'm finally getting the car back monday morning :D
  18. its coming in at £302 bud, but when I return the old rack they'll refund the VAT and the £119 surcharge.
  19. Managed to get one from autocarparts, it seems that most of the suppliers do refurbished ones which come with a warranty, ideally I wanted it direct from VW but at 550 a pop that was out of budget, if I hadn't spent the cash I had in the bank on part of my website design I could have went for it but got one ordered from autocarparts now. The high pressure lines on the rack were knacked, could go along the road and turn the wheel more than a 1/4 each way and it wouldn't make a difference to where the car went lol
  20. Hahahaha, drive straight at them.......problem solved. Liking it :D
  21. Yea avoid is really the best thing to do with the cheap stuff. Notice how the 1st part of the ad is "CITROEN SAXO" says it all really, and yes I can mock the frenchies as I owned a 106 before my g60
  22. Hey guys, Car has been in the garage for a few days getting a couple of bits and pieces done, steering rack the garage got was left hand drive so I need to get a new steering rack and I've went through the list of breakers but ideally I want a brand new one, got a couple of places off here that do new parts as well so i'm gonna give a call in the morning, well in a few hours lol Would it be worth just getting one from VW direct?
  23. I don't get what actually makes them think its a cool thing to do, can't stand little f**kers that do that. When I was young I was more concerned with what I was gonna spend my pocket money on, I made that sound like I was 40 odd then lol But there's seriously no need for it, chucking the wheel brace is defo a good idea, little barsteward tbh!
  24. Ahhh a g60 and a mk1, you jammy git :D The g60 is lovely man, really does look in good knick, engine bay looks immaculate. That mk 1 looks awesome as well, really developed a love for mk 1's the past year or so. Crackin :D
  25. Thanks for the comments guys, yea really have taken to liking the black with the red, I wasn't too sure of it at 1st but now I love it. And hello to the fellow Scot Andy :D Yea defo horney, I am looking into getting a brembo package but then again the idea of changing to 5 stud and going for big big brakes is playing in my mind, my list just keeps growing lol I need a new steering rack at the mo so the cash I had saved has dissapeared quickly lol
