Late to this thread, just read it all, very impressive work, look forward to seeing it in the flesh! ;)

Unimpressed by the Bank Holiday weather decided to fit some parts tomorrow. Here's some new additions for the rear, had them custom made by one of the lads on Edition 38 forum. They have been smoothed, tinted, lacquered and baked, followed by a quick de-nib and polish. Got a few more parts to gather for the rear end and then get everything fitted.

Very close Gareth, they're Azev AS Split rims 17x 8" Here's a few pics when I picked them up and after the first clean... Sent the wheels off to Prestige Wheels for the refurb. Alloys have now been split, dipped into a paint stripping chemical bath, shot blasted, then had three coat powder/paint coating system and finally oven heated.

I'll have a very good condition steering wheel off a late '94 car in a week or so if Emu's is too far away :)

Finally picked up the new wheels today, had a full refurb and look very sweet indeed, decided on tyres and they will all go on once brake upgrade is finished (with a load of other parts) The plan now is to debut the car at DC11... ...and before you start guessing the boxes are unrelated to the wheels, they were just used for shipping! ;)

It was in Neath, Port Talbot Kempy, but now safely installed in Manchester :)

Suspension is now all new, went for a mix of OEM and Powerflex. Coilovers are finally on and have made an amazing difference! The car now handles like its on rails and even seems faster! Got plenty of new parts together, next job - full brake upgrade! ;)

Hi Andy, Yes they are Hicon-GT, got them straight from Germany via Reuben at TuningWerkes, the specs have changed slighly for the 2011 ones. As for the arches, its not the best job, but looks so much better, we used soap and water for the loose stuff then 2 coats of Gunk in each arch and they come up great! :)

Read plently on the forum on front brake upgrades and have now decided the way forward this week! Also gonna upgrade the rears to Mk4 GTI/V5 spec, any better suggestions or issues with this? Will be be sourcing calipers and carriers this week. :)

Started getting more bits together for the suspension buildup... Then time yesterday to get some prep and cleaning done before the install... Then on to drivers side... Now time to start putting the good stuff on... ;)

US Spec Tailgate Wanted with extra brakelight, not bothered on colour but little or no rust please! Also let me know if you have any other interesting US/Euro parts.

Busy day for the postman and UPS today! 3 deliveries of German goodness... ;) The second boxed is lighting related, looks like a busy few days! ;)

It will be running a series of tasty 17's so 312's will be no problem! ;)

Service all done - had full engine flush and all new fluids, changed all the service parts. Its thrown up a few issues we pretty much knew about, mostly brakes are **** poor due to lack of use, suspension and bushes are shot. :( Coilovers are already on the way and now picking up a fully polybush kit. Have decided to do it properly and build up a full new rear end and pull all the brakes off the car – now looking at a full TT Mk1 upgrade. ;) No chance for All Types now, got a few other minor points to sort, so will get it all done over next few weeks and bring to DC/Inters. On a plus point wheels should be ready later!

Need a full set of good condition Audi TT Mk1 brakes! Anyone breaking one or got some tucked away?

Quick progress update... Coilovers ordered from Reuben at TuningWerkes yesterday, wheels dropped off for full refurb, and car has gone in for a full service today. Should get wheels and car back tomorrow, so a few days to get them all fitted and hopefully make it to All Types on Sunday! ;)

Now all sorted, fitting in a few days! ;)
