1. Just sent you a pm. Have one which I removed from a 92 VR6.
2. Passenger Handle seems to have gone walkies, I'll have a dig later today again and try to find it. I'll check gearbox code also. Just so you know I've got a few interested parties in the engine/gearbox package so I'd like to see how they pan out before splitting the engine completely. However I'll keep you in mind if it does get broken down.

US-Spec Tailgate

Still hunting for one of these...
5. As far as I'm aware yeah, best of in my experience. Victor Reinz Head gasket kits come highly recommended.
6. I'd recommend using these Victor Reinz items. P/N as pic.
7. Loepan: I'm flattered mate, glad you enjoyed the vid. Unfortunately, it was indeed my box that went. Not the cars finest hour but hey, all worked out in the end. Just plan your trip well and allow plenty of time to get from point to point, that's my best advice. If we went again, I know for a fact this is what we'd do better....we basically did the return leg mostly in the dark in half the time we did to get down and it's was ALOT of high concentration driving.
8. Mic_VR: Fair few that went on the trip are or were techs by trade so combined knowledge was pretty extensive. Basically left the box swap to my friends Drew & Dan who did the swap way quicker than I ever could however everyone on the trip pitched in in one way or another. Real team effort.
9. Went this year guys, brilliant trip. Nearly killed myself resurrecting the Rado which had been off the road for 2 years. We went to the 'ring on the way down. Can not recommend this place enough from a shear experience point of view. BE PREPARED if you decided to drive round it. Can quite easily cut a trip very short and cost you a few pounds also. We visited The Alpine Rollercoast on the way back, basically a single seater, old school, gravity rail rollercoaster down an Austrian Mountain side. Pretty ace. Did 5 days around the Worthersee Lake staying in hotel accomodation in Maria Worth, flitting in and out of Velden and Klagenfurt for days/evening activities. The lake is a beautiful, picturesque setting and during the week before the 'main' show, every other car is something interesting. I'm not gunna lie, it's a shed load of driving/miles depending on how you do it. High chance you will have some form of problems on the trip depending on number of cars. My advice, go equiped and expected at least one breakdown. Most European Breakdown cover we had was next to useless when we attempted to use it. Taking out ADAC cover seemed to be the only way to reliably get a car all the way home in a worse case scenario. A friend of the group made a short documentary about our 2013 roadtrip which I've been meaning to post for ages, not quite your average 'car show video' and well worth a watch: Also after returning home, we found various 'Ring photographer sites which had captured shots of us doing a lap that day. We'd all been round for a lap, could tell the story and generally enjoy the experience but I was left pretty speechless when I found the following: Kinda made the whole trip along with the documentary, the months of slogging to get the car ready various trip 'incidents' not to mention the cost of both car & week away were all forgotten. Great experience and would whole-heartily recommend to anyone considering a driving holiday.
10. As promised, this is what I have:
11. Haha...if you already donate then don't panic, just find it's a nice way to give stuff away and the forum benefits. Drop me a pm with your address and i'll do my best to remember to put in the post today.
12. Got a couple of these. Make a donation to the forum and I'll send you one.
13. If it's a dizzy engine, I should have a suitable item. Just gotta check part number, sure it ends in 'B' tho.
14. All panels are/will be in good nick. Wings are solid but do have the start of a little surface rust on the lips after being rolled. Doors are very solid and good paint. Bonnet again solid, a fair few stone chips on the front edge and a small dent from when my front mount decided to let go and allow the engine to pop up. Overall I'd say 8-9/10 condition wise.
15. I will get you a pic today. Will have to perform a surgery on the wires for the handle, but happy to do this. £15 for the Passenger handle. Lock can be removed, sure there is a how to on the forum as well. Never taken on out myself. Gearbox feels very slick and no nasty noises during the short driving i did in this car. Goes forward and backwards in the appropriate gears. £120 collected for the box. Will check it's the correct Corrrado coded VR6 box also.
16. Here you go mate... Dave16v's Door Handle Repair Kit Thread: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=10426 I'll drop you pm regarding the handle.
17. Oh yeah. Supplier of fixing kits on the forum which comes with a how to guide. Will find you the link when I'm on my Mac later...
18. Hey mate, I have a drivers handle with a working key however has the standard broken trigger. Have a working passenger handle but key doesn't operate the lock. Both need wires re-attaching also as previous owner had snipped both but happy to solder and insulate for you. Bit of a crock with regards locks and keys but happy to let either go for £10-15 plus postage.
19. Part Breaking a White '92 Corrado VR6... Quick bit of background, picked this car up a few weeks back with the prior intention of finding a new donor shell for my car. My Aqua Blue '95 VR6 after many, many years of nie on faultless service and an almost complete mechanical rebuild over last winter is chassis wise very much showing it's age and mileage. Short of ploughing further thousands of pounds into rust removal and restoration work, I've decided on a re-shell approach getting the new shell completely painted, all body mods along the way and then swapping what is essentially a mechanical refurbished under pinnings across. The part breaker in question is a very early White 1992 Distributor based, Crossover style VR6. Late exterior with early style interior fitting and features. I've since stripped the car down for a thorough shell/chassis inspection and short of one contained area for repair [previous low speed impact] the shell looks fit for the job. This has basically left me with a rather large surplus of 'duplicate' parts. I'll start with a few major items and add more as I come back across them [currently all boxed up for neat storage] Due to the nature of this 'breaker', this following is a list of what ISN'T AVAILABLE as of yet: Body panels - doors, wings, bumpers etc... Rolling Drivetrain - subframe, rear axle, wishbones etc... Chassis Panels - rear arches, battery tray, rear valance etc... I welcome queries though as this isn't your stereotypical 'car for breaking'.... ----------------------------------- Complete Engine Package: SOLD. --------------------------------------- Fully Black/Dark Grey Cloth Interior with Hump Includes: Two front seats 60/40 split rear seats + squabs & hump. Front and rear door cards Good overall clean condition. Drivers seat needs new bolster and tilt-handle re-attaching. Drivers door card requires material re-gluing in places. Rear cards are in excellent condition, bottom corners where they usually snap are perfect. £100 complete or will split as appropriate. Pics to come later this week. --------------------------------------- All manner of parts, clips, bolts, brackets and ancillaries have been removed and are ready to go so please post below. I'll knock up a list later this week after rifling through the boxes and add further pics. Thanks, Stu
20. SKF VBKA 1491 After going round the houses trying to find these for mine, the devil was in the detail or the eBay, just gotta search for the right thing. For example: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SKF-Wheel-Bearing-Kit-Part-No-VKBA1491-/370763655620?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item56533c69c4
21. If it's not too far to go back, go armed with a wire brush/degreaser & rags. Should be able to get it back to bare metal to read it. Should say 2.8-2.9 on the block else where but that doesn't really help. Sure it says ABV on the block else where too but I'm yet to find that again.
22. Be surprised if most aren't marked here. I'll have a quick look on the engine in my Rado today as well as that's all cleaned up and painted. In fact I can check my friends car also as that's next to mine in the unit.
23. Oh yeah, wire brush, some degreaser and some rags to get it like that. You can see the difference vs. lower parts of the block.
