I know which I prefer, I know which neighbours/local residents hate.

I've found a touch more performance can be noticed with, due to freer flowing exhaust gases but the main notable change is exhaust note. With the cat fitted my VR's calm and conservative, with a decat pipe fitted its loud and aggressive, pops on over-run and snarls on hard acceleration. This is also very cheap if in good nick and fits well.

Couldn't agree more. Possibly one of the greatest experiences of my life driving the Corrado around it. My advice to you is to keep your head throughout the lap. Very easy to get caught up in the moment, and push that fraction too hard. As I'm sure you are aware it's an extremely unforgiving 'toll road'. Mirrors, mirrors, mirrors, can't stress that enough. Will save your bacon in most cases. I found having a passenger extremely useful so take one out if you can. Almost acting as a co-driver to avoid getting in the way of the guys who know the 'toll road'. All the best and enjoy it mate.

I've still got a bunchs of old keys from a cars I've broke in a draw at home. I'll have a look tonight as I'm sure one of them ran a Scorpion alarm so I may be able to help.

Will take the lower rear suspension bolts if they are the ones hold the bottom of the shock into axle...? -
Ben, make sure you check the condition of the heater matrix inlet/outlet pipes. I had exactly the same thing happen to me post fitting some my samco's and it resulted in dash out -> replace heater matrix. You may be able to catch it before the inevitable happens if any damage has been caused. Saving engine/embarrassment /strandedness later potentially.

Couple here also in varying colours...

Mainly in the Isle Of Man... ;)

Loving the progress Ben. The clutch looks dead as dead can be...along with the upper tensioner. Mine had starting coming away from the rivit point as the rivit had almost lost its head completely. Keep up the good work.

Just got back. Absolutely mental. In a nutshell. The island itself is such a beautiful place full of such welcoming people. Stray off the beaten 'TT' track and you find untouched coastlines & picturesque harbours. The TT itself was just mind blowing from sitting at the top of Bray Hill watch them come through and down quicker and quicker each lap in contrast to watching from the Bungalow on the hill side in the glorious sunshine. Just magical at times, it really was. Can't recommend it enough, however we did get super lucky with the weather.

Heading out there for just over a week on Sunday for Dad's 60th Birthday fingers crossed & both bikes make it. So glad we decided to make it happen. Check list for 2013 was drive the Nurburgring & ride the TT Course. One down, one to go.

Based on the shape of the wheel and the internal contours, I'd be really surprised if they didn't clear 280's and even 288's. 312's and you might start having trouble for sure. I reckon 10mm spacers would sort them if you had trouble as they are standard VW offset. Also bear in mind Ben, Speedlines are ET 43.

Perfect fodder to wind up friends who've recently ditched VW's for crazy powered Audi S & RS models. Thanks to the OP.
