  1. What intercooler do you have? BBM do a Corrado kit but it's for the standard side mount cooler. But we can do you a custom intercooler kit and if you're using an intercooler we could work with for future we could sort you out a demo deal, we'll need the car for a couple of days. Cost wise you'll be looking at approx £300. But we'll do from supercharger to cooler, cooler to throttle. If you just want from cooler to throttle then it'll be around the £150 mark. These will be aluminium pipes that normally come brushed but you could polish yourself or have us sort this but will obviously be an extra cost to what it costs us to sort out. Hope that helps you, Matt
  2. Ah like an interference reducer? Odd
  3. Highly doubt it, don't really get why they are earthed?
  4. As above on most standard engines you're fine, G60's do get very hot so it's one of the first things I advise if people starting chasing more power. But on the other hand it is always good to keep oil at a good temperature, this is around 90'c and you'll find almost all factory engines will run at 100'C if not more, the factory oil cooler is there for warming engines up as much as it is for keeping them cool so you probably would see some improvements in running on hotter days, but always use a thermostatic cooler plate with a cooler to stop oil being cooled under 90'C
  5. It's a tiny brass screw in the throttle body, pretty sure it's on the front of 16v's http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?rlz=1C1CHFX_en-GBGB533GB533&es_sm=122&biw=1024&bih=653&tbm=isch&tbnid=c97XIFI06XQevM:&imgrefurl=http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php%3Fshowtopic%3D174696&docid=RaiIU0zKwlJCYM&imgurl=http://vwtech.no-ip.info/images/golf/16vidlescrew.jpg&w=440&h=330&ei=n5dKUsTuIMup0AWQ34DwBA&zoom=1&ved=1t:3588,r:19,s:0,i:137&iact=rc&page=2&tbnh=174&tbnw=225&start=13&ndsp=18&tx=111&ty=74 That's best I found on google :)
  6. Could be 5th injector if you've made a loose contact etc I'd just check over the idle screw too, make sure you've not adjusted this at all
  7. Yep, it's just poor earthing that, check the sensor contacts to the engine are clean and ok, most engine sensors earth through the engine so make sure these points are clean, make sure all engine earths are clean and upgrade the thicker cables to something new and a bit thicker. Then the earths around the fusebox just make sure these are nice and clean and not loose so they can wriggle about. Loom shouldn't be too bad to swap once you've got all trims off. One of my favourite jobs is wiring oddly :D Also another product I use is a preservation wax, it's a VW product, they brought it out for earthing problems on new cars, just clean contact areas and bolt everything back up then give a good coating in this spray and they won't rust again :) I use it often and on my own mk2 G60 build and I never had any issues, even with a battery in the boot. Part number is AKR 321 M15 4 - you might get an odd look if you try to order some but it's available and bloody good stuff Matt
  8. vag-com will be pretty limited on your engine, I highly doubt it would pick up a coil fault let alone tell you when it's faulting. As Dox says for it, just make sure the basics are good, always worth doing a compression test as well if it hasn't been done, a drop can give you some very spurious starting issues
  9. Cheers eddy, will be posted first thing Monday
  10. Owen - sure we can arrange something, we're pretty open for bookings still, I've gone from full time employed to full time self employed so my time is mostl ly filled with advertising and website stuff and less workshop so just drop us an email with dates that suit you. Hofmiester - I have been asked a couple of times and it's something I'm wanting to get into just yet to be sent a charger to play with and make me source parts! I'll stick it on the to do list for Monday though :) Another thing I'm looking at is getting Rotrex kits available too but seems a very complicated dealer system they have!
  11. With us being new we're always looking to bring new things out and one thing I'm dying to do is 4 branch manifolds and exhaust systems so if anyone is in the market for one and is looking for something of very high quality please get in touch, first ones in will mean car is needed for a couple of days at least but we'll be able to offer you a decent discount for letting us demo on your vehicle :)
  12. Well about time something different was done in the fashion isle for us G heads! We felt it would be nice for something a bit more interesting than the usual forum group buy G-Lader shirts so we came up with this design in OCD colours just to make you stick out at shows as well as your pride and joy. Hope you like! http://www.onlychargeddubs.co.uk/products/only-charged-dubs-charger-t-shirt.html
  13. So we all know how important it is to keep your charger healthy and here at OCD it is our main aim to keep as many G-Laders on the road for as long as possible so our charger servicing is top priority for us! Booking in at re-build time couldn't be easier via our webshop - http://www.onlychargeddubs.co.uk/products/g60-g40-supercharger-rebuild-service.html As well as re-builds we keep as many products as possible for you to maintain your own vehicle and for all modifications, the webshop is very new so we're always adding new products along the way, things that are the old classics with our own OCD twist like our blank plates - http://www.onlychargeddubs.co.uk/products/ocd-g60-boost-return-blank.html Or new things like our soon to be done 16vG60 kit, Cam breather return system and oil catch tanks. If there's anything you need and can't find then please get in touch as no doubt we've got it in stock we've just not had time to get it on the site as of yet - [email protected] Thanks Matt
  14. The mk1 DX engine code bolt is advised but VW modified the original crank bolt so I always fit these now, part number is N 903 208 02, I can help with supplying if needs be. I echo what's said above and a charger check is certainly needed! We offer a free health check which can be done on a drive in basis or just a cost of postage. Synta silver 10w40 is also what we advise using Matt
  15. I'd advise NGK plugs as well, I use these all the time and never have any problems, very god quality plug! As for diagnostics I'd say get VCDS, you don't have to get the full version and for what you need the Basic level would do the job well
  16. Well it's great to finally get a spot on here! Thanks to Andi for sorting it. I'll just say a quick hi as I'm guessing a lot won't of heard of us, we've only been running for a year and a half but I've only been running OCD full time since June. I've relocated along side Darkside Developments in Barnsley which has allowed us to grow OCD a lot more than I could myself from home! The main aim is most certainly offering top quality service to you G60 & G40 nutters out there :) We pride ourselves in our G-Lader rebuilds and quality of parts used on these and general maintenance or supply to yourselves. We're also be bringing new products to the market that we feel have been over looked or just not given enough attention. I'll keep this updated with new bits we're bringing and jobs we're on with but if you feel there's anything we're missing out on then please feel free to tell us and we will certainly see what we can do :) We're on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/onlychargeddubs Our Twitter is @onlychargeddubs as is our Instagram page so please give us a follow Most importantly is our brand new web shop - http://www.onlychargeddubs.co.uk please take a browse and shout up if there's anything we need to add, we always are adding to it but there might be something we miss out. Thanks for your time, Matt
