  4. no, unfortuantly i had to source a set of seconfd hand clocks!! its a nightmare you can never find some with the mileage your car has done :censored: so more expense at getting the mileage changed!! all ok now though.

  9. spotted a VERY clean black vr6 yesterday, cuckmere hill seaford east sussex, waved as you passed, was in mates zafira VXR.
  10. mine use to do exactly what you have described, adjusted the belt and all was fine, wasn't a self adjusting belt on the g60, not sure about vr, :?
  11. ok, so had a little look at the rear wiper today, the relay is working fine as i can hear it click, checked the nut on wiper arm, thats also fine,i tried to operate it by the stalk, and nothing, double pushed the stalk, (to turn off) but can still constantly hear the relay clicking :confused4: does this only leave the motor to be the problem? typical, heavy snow today, and could do with the rear wiper!!
  12. over the last few days i did notice that the rear wiper was getting a bit delayed once operated, nothing would happen, then while driving along it would suddenly work, but once switched off it would be fine and work when operated. now i have nothing at all :confused4: as i said, i can hear a click every 30 odd seconds, as if it wants to work, but no wiper movement, need it in this weather too
  13. Hi all, my rear wiper has decided to give up,i can hear the intermittent click from the motor, but no movement from rear wiper blade? any ideas?? fuse is fine. :?
  14. just a quickie, im looking into getting another set of clocks to hopefuly fix this problem? at the moment i have no speedo, which also means spoiler not rising.so when i fit new clocks will the spoiler then rise when it should do?? if anyone hears of some cheap g60 clocks please let me know :)
  15. red corrado not sure what flavour spotted this morning about 7;45am kings drive eastbourne exchanged waves
  16. grey, G60 K***HOK today about half 3 going along A22 hailsham,looked good :)
  17. blackberry vr6 M reg? parked in "the old polegate station" car park about half 12ish this afternoon.
  18. yeah thats exactly what happened, thats all sorted now :D just gotta get these clocks sorted :brickwall: think perhaps a new set might be the answer?
  19. try replacing the sensor on the back of the gearbox, this fixed my broken speedo on my last corrado :)
  20. just a quick one, just been informed that the resistor on the pcb in the clocks could be the problem?? he was very vague but where would i find this :confused4: anything is worth a go at the moment :?
  21. still no joy with this problem :( went to vw yesterday, and was told by head mechanic to disconnect the battery for ten minutes and when you re connect it,all dials and digital readouts (mfa screen & mileage screen) should all come back, but no,nothing at all :( would changing the clocks make any difference? :( but trying to get some with the same low mileage would be very difficult, plus dont really want to have to buy some if its not going to make any difference. Its getting really annoying now just want to know what else,or if there is anything else to check?
  22. any one in or near Eastbourne East sussex that would have a look at my car for me?? :? im pretty sure i have checked everything obvious, but as im not really mechanicaly minded theres possibly things i have missed, bit reluctant to visist garage just yet,as they all tell you different things  so any help would most definately be appreciated :)
  23. have been trying all day to get this problem sorted but no joy :( but have noticed my headlight switch is getting stiffer when switching from headlights to side lights,i have taken switch out and there is something rattling around in the switch, wanted to take it apart but bit worried of breaking it  and having another problem!! also when i push the dimmer wheel on light switch i very briefly get a display on mfa and it shows every symbol it can,but only briefly(a second or two) could this switch cause all these problems? 1) NO SPEEDO 2)NO FLASHING TEMP LIGHT WHEN IGNITION TURNED ON 3)NO REV COUNTER 4)MFA AND MILEAGE SCREENS BOTH COMPLETELY BLANK. really want to get this sorted but no idea where to start? is there anyone near eastbourne that could have a quick look for me  ??
  24. yeah, the first thing i did was check the fuses, but none of them had blown :confused4:
  25. ok, so i have seemed to have lost my rev counter, speedo, and all digital readings like the mileage screen and the mfa screen, these are both blank,i have ignition lights, turn signals, fuel and temp gauge. This happened yesterday as i flicked through the mfa, then it suddenly all dissapeared :confused4: obviously first thing i checked was the fuses, but they all seem fine.I removed the clocks and see there are two plugs on the back,a push in one and a blue one with two screws holding it on.they also seemed to be pushed in fine? any ideas would really be appreciated, cheers.
