  1. Just a little sarcastic. There aren't many parts on my website so it seemed funny. Please don't think my comments here are in any way being a hater or something. Its cool what you guys are talking about doing and in no way does it bother me about having competition in this market. For me I am not interested in making a lot of the parts that are being discussed here. My business isn't about making every part on a Corrado in carbon fiber or copying existing parts, though a lot of people seem to wish that I would. Do you have much experience with doing composites? Are you planning to do a wet layup to make these parts and use epoxy? Do you have experience with vacuum infusion? Do you realize that some of the trim pieces that you are proposing have clips, fasteners, or attachment points that can't be replicated easily or sometimes at all in composite? With buying cloth I am sure its similar in the UK as it is here in the US. If you want to buy direct from a company who weaves their own cloth they sell in 100 yard rolls. The cost per yard is at least half of what you pay when buying per yard. They will sell smaller amounts but they charge expensive cutting fees to do so. What we do is have them call us when they have a cut roll that has 10 or 20 yards. Many people seem to think this stuff is easy to make and it shouldn't cost that much. I get that a lot from the UK where people think its just a piece of carbon fiber. They don't realize the costs involved with making high quality/low volume parts. There are reasons that almost no one makes parts for these cars, especially stuff like what you are talking about making. There is little money to be made. The materials add up especially when you use infusion. If you want to build parts that have clips and such it gets even more expensive. Cheers!
  2. Thank you Mikki and Bryan for your posts/support. I didn't realize it was so difficult to find the Euro plate holder on my site.
  3. Sorry I only have pictures of the fiberglass version since we don't make a carbon fiber version of the LHD trim panel.
  4. Thanks for posting this. I can't offer a discount more than the £125 sorry. They are normally sell for £172 so this discounted price is very good. ---------- Post added at 07:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:13 PM ---------- Thank you. I'm glad you got to see it at the show.
  5. Right now the only part we are planning to tool for is the one piece lower windscreen trim. The scuttle cover won't happen unless the one piece trim sells. Its too expensive to tool for these parts unless they sell enough to pay for the tooling at least. That price is good until September 25, 2011. Hopefully someone will post and reply. I have sold a few to the UK but worldwide we have sold over 50 of the 70mm spoilers. TM Tuning sells them as well.
  6. I have a special deal going right now on the fiberglass rear spoilers for $200US/£125 plus $40US/£25 shipping direct to you. Normally they sell for $275/£175 so this is a great price.
  7. The scuttle trays will only happen if the windshield trims sell well enough. I'm not expecting to sell that many but I need to make sure its worthwhile to cover the expense of tooling for RHD parts.
  8. Thanks for posting pics. Look forward to seeing it installed painted!
  9. Sorry everyone for not posting when I said that I would. Things have been very busy here with a big project and we just had a holiday weekend sale here in the States that is keeping me busy with shipping parts. The response on here definitely is enough to move forward with the one piece windscreen trim piece. The price is on just the part and does not include shipping. Shipping on this part is £37. We concluded that a RHD specific scuttle tray would need to be made in order to clear the wiper motor. Right now I don't have a time when we will build a new mold for a RHD version so for now this would be just for the windscreen trim. For everyone who is interested I'd like to start taking orders for the trim panels in both fiberglass and carbon fiber starting next week. I need to sort out if people would prefer to ship direct or if there is more interest in having them shipped to one person and than distributed. In the next few weeks we will be introducing carbon fiber strut caps. We may also make them in aluminum since so many people loved this CAD model.
  10. Thanks everyone. On Sunday I will look over this thread and total how many people are interested. Hopefully we can make at least the trim right away.
  11. Unless more people are willing to commit to buying, I will hold off on making them.
  12. No disrespect here but this thread has proven why talk is cheap and doesn't mean much unless you can actually do something. The OP called someone who actually came through with designing, developing, and delivering a part " a joker " just because he deemed his prices to be too high. Yet he himself didn't follow up with everything he said he was going to do about building a product that is similar and for less money. Seriously who is the joker now?
  13. No offense taken. I appreciate you asking if you have concerns. The fit on all of the parts we sell are very good and matches the OE rear spoiler. They install with the factory brackets and hardware. No modifications needed. We've sold 40 rear spoilers in the 6 months since they were introduced with not one issue, so I am confident in the fit. Out of that 40 about 8 are in the UK now. Nice Corrado btw!
  14. We can offer the one piece windscreen trims in a variety of materials. The scuttle trays we currently make in 4 materials and there will be more coming soon.
  15. Very clean! Seems more rare to see yellow Corrados in good condition and unmolested.
  16. This part needs just a few of the metal clips to hold it in place. I suggest 3 but even just 2 will work fine since its all one piece instead of 3 separate pieces like the OE version. The Kevlar scuttle tray cover is for LHD and unfortunately won't clear the RHD wiper motor. We will be making a RHD version soon but it will lose the drivers side channel and gain a hump for the wiper motor. They will sell for $125GBP.
  17. We have reproduced the O.E. bumper clips that hold the rebar to the bumper skin. They are made from durable urethane plastic and are sold in sets of 8 clips for $13GBP shipped.
  18. Hello everyone! Some of you may know that we currently make a LHD one piece lower windshield trim in fiberglass. This part replaces the 3 O.E. plastic trim pieces and gives you one smooth/continuous trim piece. It is also more durable and won't break like the ABS plastic pieces do. We have built a prototype for a RHD version and if we can get enough pre-orders, tooling will be made for not only a fiberglass version but also for carbon fiber and carbon/Kevlar versions. These parts will be of the highest quality with vacuum infused composite construction. Prices would be £100GBP for fiberglass, £125GBP for carbon fiber or carbon/Kevlar. We need to get at least 8 pre-orders to make this happen. Shipping direct to you would be £37GBP with USPS Priority Mail that takes 6-10 business days to arrive. Here is a picture of the prototype. Sorry its not the best quality picture. I will get some better quality ones this coming week. Here are a few pictures of the LHD version painted with satin black paint. Thank you!
  19. Its only worthwhile with 4 or 5 people minimum. Or I can just ship direct to you. With the group buy you save some on shipping. I'm hoping to organize a group buy for the lower windscreen trim piece if there are enough people interested. For some time I have been asked if the rain tray (scuttle) that I make will fit RHD cars. I had been led to believe that the sheet metal on the cars were different but from closer inspection of pictures recently its been confirmed that the sheet metal is the same for RHD and LHD Corrados. The wiper motor and linkage is the main difference so we are trying to confirm is the VR wiper linkage allow enough clearance on the RHD cars like it does on the LHD cars. If it does, than the rain trays we make will fit RHD cars. The one piece lower windscreen trim is ready to be molded. I need to see if there is enough interest in this part for us to produce it. Here is a pic of the final prototype. They would be available in gloss black gel coat fiberglass, carbon fiber, and carbon/Kevlar. Pricing should be around $100GBP for fiberglass and $125GBP for carbon fiber and carbon/Kevlar.
  20. Good to hear. I know there was some interest when I posted about this part awhile back. Hopefully this will happen.
  21. Sent you a message. Thanks! I finally got to work on the lower windscreen trim piece. It will be finished later this coming week and I'll post pictures of the final part. It will be available in black gel coat fiberglass and a carbon fiber version. I don't have pricing yet but will soon. If there is enough interest a group buy will be organized with reduced shipping and import duties.

    SWG scuttle panel

There is a little bit more work involved than just essentially a bit of carbon fiber. These are vacuum infused so there is the added material and time needed to infuse them. Also there is a lot of time invested in making the original part and making the mold. The profit on these parts is not very high especially considering they are very low volume and the quality is extremely good. I'm about to make a RHD version which will require a significant amount of time to create the prototype and to build a completely new mold.
