  3. I'll be going! :) How do you go about showing a car? do you have to enter it into a certain catagory ect? My first show was inters earlier in the year so i'm very new to this. Sorry for the questions but i would really like to be part of it this time as i just left my c in the camping area when i was at inters.
  4. not sure if it would cause it but maby worth checking the bolts from the driveshaft to the gearbox are tight.
  5. Hi m8, I'm after a battery securing clamp if you have one? Thanks, Dave
  6. i'm just quite lucky that way being an electrician haha! I would say its worth taking the fusebox covers ect off to get a look at the loom yourself. with any luck you might get away with repairing the loom with some cable and but crimps/ soldering and a new switch. would just depend on the extent of the damage to the loom.
  7. Hi. Dont know if this is any help but it sounds like this is what has happened. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?49497-Headlight-switch-and-loom-fires.....DIY-prevention&highlight=light+switch+fuse+fire I would say you deffinetly need a new switch and to check the condition of the loom. The wipers and radio ect. sound like a relay fault rather than fuses. Hope this helps:) dave.
  8. hi, yes i have recieved your pm and have sent payment and description of what i am paying for as asked. Thanks, Dave

  17. Very nice car m8. I'm in galston and my raddo is locked up for the winter. I take it you got the car from glenfield? A few of my friends told me about a really nice yellow raddo sitting there but i newver seen it myself! I've been looking for it every time i pass that place. Welcome! :)
  18. how do you pull a fat bird? with a tractor!
  19. thanks for the comments. Well i'm getting the p+p head from rctech motorsport on ebay. (dont know if anyone has heard of this guy?) but he has told me i need to get it rolling road set up for the fuel pressure after fittting the head so i will have power plots before its back on the road. :) will keep updating my progress!
  20. Hi everyone! I'm Dave, 20 from just outside Kilmarnock in Ayrshire. I've been a regular visitor to the forum for a while now but havent really posted much myself but i've had an accident and smashed my fingertip bone and sliced my finger open so as i cant work on my raddo for a while i thought it would be a good time to start a thread about it! I bought my corrado last june from carlisle as a reasonable tidy car with a fresh respray. It was originally a kr but after owning it for a couple of months a major oil leak took out the big end bearings. I took this oppertunity to drop in an abf, pretty much strip, clean, paint, polybush and rebuild the front end and she was back on the road in october. I used her for a few months and sorted out idle problems and lack of power by correctly setting up the k jet and fitting a new isv controller before taking her off the road in december for the winter and to get some more work done. So i've currently got it in bits in my garage and have been working through my to do list after work and at weekends: Engine out and cleaned up, replace gaskets Fit ported and polished head lighten and balance flywheel recondition and paint calipers and run new brake lines grooved and vented disks with greenstuff pads rear beam off, painted and polybushed kw v1 coilovers 4 branch manifold vdo gauges install in centre console sort out audio hid kit and a general clean up I'm kind of in the middle of most of this work and thought i'd post up a few pics :)
  21. Heres a few links that might help if you havent already sorted it: http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=102306.0 http://www.clubgti.co.uk/FORUM/showthre ... vdo+gauges http://forum.performancevwmag.com/viewtopic.php?t=37974
  22. went to a+e today with a smashed bone in my fingertip and bad slice in my finger from a little accident in the garage. all stitched up and back home now and i'm already getting annoyed that i wont be able to get anything done to the rado for a while lol.
  23. completely agree with these comments! I've owned mine for 7 months and in that time i've drove it for 4 months and spent 3 months under it restoring, repairing or improving it. I see it as a hobby so do mot mind spending every penny i have on it, and its worth it for all the times you are driving around in it and can honestly say you would not swap for any other cars around you on the roads! :)
  24. thanks for the reply m8. ive been looking into it today and havn't found anyone local who can do it for me yet. I am friendly with a local engineering shop through my work that would have no problem lightening it but getting it balanced will be the tricky bit. I think i'll try and speak to hotgolf to arrange something:) found a usefull thread for anyone else looking for info on this. :) http://www.clubgti.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=1890556
