  1. If you can get it higher than the sub-frame then i should hope that you wont be bashing it!, there is always the option of getting a short oil pick-up and shortening and strengthening you steel sump There is enough clearance to "puck" the front mount, although i think you will need to remove the OEM bonnet insulation

  13. Thanks All Yes, its a chiped key with light (think they all have that tho don't they ?) Just gave them my chassis number and it turned up within a week (cut obviously), it cost thirty something ponds with a small discount, not too bad IMO considering what VW charge for some Keys or Corrado items
  14. another small update, fitted the Polyurethane engine mounts from Jays group buy the front one went really easily but it was too good to last and i snapped the top bolt inside the rear mount :bonk: so got a new cheap one from GSF as the mounts were going to be changed anyway, and i finally got rid of the old cheap air filter that was fitted when i got the car and replaced it with a nice BMC CDA Ohh and a new spare key :shades: which VW shorted out surprisingly quickly and at a reasonable price Steve

    VR6 air box

  20. Yeah, i think its almost the same spec as yours it also has the CD auto-changer, audio controls on the steering wheel with cruise control, Climate control, Auto dimming rear view mirror, just doesn't have the leather Don't think you would have too much trouble selling yours privately if you wanted to go down that route, there were a couple that i wanted to view but had sold before i got there, so there must be a bit demand for them
  21. Thanks for everyone’s comments After a stupid amount for driving around i finally have one! Ive done almost 400 miles in the last two days and enjoying it, Its also showing about 34mpg, so pretty happy with that so far aswell Two owners from new 68k miles with full service history from PSI Tuning New discs and pads all round New tyres all round Just been serviced Only thing that lets it down is the alloys, which have some quite noticeable lacquer peel in places, oh and no leather, but the cloth interior is still quite nice and its clean I might look into uprated ARB in the future but im happy with it for now
  22. I think the pressed plates look great and have used them for the passed year (sold as UK legal) with out any hassle I had a set of German pressed plates (clearly not legal) on my old Corrado for about a year and they did attract some unwanted attention form the police on three occasions, but only once was made to change them back which cost £5 at the MOT station
  23. Spotted a nugget C around hook a couple of times this week, anyone on here ?
  24. I cant comment on its longevity, but ive recently purchased Beru one for £145 delivered, I believe VW still do them as they quoted me £344 for one when i was looking Oh and the Beru looked better made then the one it replaced (not sure if it was original or not)
