1. More than £1200 mate, pulley, intake pipe work and filter £1500! But at 140bhp more that is a bargain compared to other cars
2. Need to get on a forum for Audis, struggle to find time to get on here!
3. No, I don't do styling. Like my cars to look OE. When I bought my Corrado I immediately took most of the looks back to standard bar lowering and rims. I think the S4 could be lower but it does have the optional RS4 style 19" rims. I'm almost 40 so don't really want to draw attention :)
4. The charger looks to be massive compared to the V9 or Rotrex jobs. Although the casting is larger, internals may not be huge. mRC say they have done well over 100 now an the manuals have best results. Mine is doing almost 600nm which is savage on the road. You only really need 2nd and 6th gears for normal driving ;) That whole middle section is the SC. So about 30cm x 30cm by 20cm
5. It's the surge of torque that is crazy, plus 4wd gets it down. Madness.....but then it will also bumble along just fine. Like a TDI Mpg seems quite respectable at 32mpg from Oxford to Sheffield on mixed a roads and motorways, not booting it. Floor it and it will drop to 9-11mpg :D
6. It's terrifying....most powerful car I've owned by 140bhp. Apparently it should do sub 4 sec 0-60s if only I could change gear quickly enough :)
7. Whoops.......had the car less than a day, crashed into MRC tuning where a stage 2 kit fell into the engine bay :( then the car rolled back onto the dyno......
8. Picked up my new car on Friday, drove it straight MRC on Saturday and had their stage 2 kit fitted (engine is a supercharged 3.0) Stage 2 is a smaller pulley, new intake pipe work and modded air box, plus a custom RR session that MRC are famous for. The results are RS4 crushing :)
9. Great tip for anyone thinking of popping round and nicking them :)
10. The golf will stay, lovely car but not big enough and I'd like some more power. Wife will have the gold as she's working again now. Will sell her Fabia. Gearbox is a concern, I think the tiptronic ones are stronger but mine is a manual. Only has 29k on the clock though
11. software only, MRC will do a pulley as well for sub 4 sec 0-60 :)
12. Set off wanting an M5 but even a 2007 car with 50k miles is £18-20k :( big money
13. Power is a funny one of these, different sites say different things. Basically listed as 333PS but AmD and Shark say 340bhp standard and that is what their graphs show. 410bhp with a remap, 450bhp with remap and smaller SC pulley. 0-60 on 450bhp mapped ones is under 4 secs! :D
14. Will be getting mapped to 410bhp once I've had it a few weeks ;) Great for those family trips to the park
15. Got a new daily coming in 2 weeks time......340bhp and 4wd....can you guess what it is? ;)
16. Haha yeah best I have ever seen is about 33mpg on a long motorway run, cruising at 60. On a town run, from a cold start I get about 18-22mpg. Average for a mixed journey is 25-28mpg
17. You'll love the MK7, I have a GTd and it is immense. Practical and no fuss when doing shopping with kids but let it loose on a country road and it's a beast! Handling is superb :) and steering feel in sport mode is excellent.
18. Hmm the one on my car before was the same, just way more shiney!
19. One of the left is the vr6 one, one on the right came as plastic or leather. Plastic one was in the late 16v and leather was in the Late G60. I did a lot of ferreting on this subject when I ordered the last 7 new vr6 wheels from VW classic last year.
20. Sounds like a deal will be done before I can get to it. Just so damn busy with work that I don't even have time to take the kids to the park!
21. In all seriousness if this wasn't about 500 miles away I would take it. Just no time at the moment to come view/collect
