  1. Spotted last week: KFO897 - Blackberry VR6 in Leyland close to the M6 junction
  2. Nice to meet you all earlier, a good turn out and brilliant weather!! Thanks for voting for our car today, we are really pleased to be taking home the trophy ) Here are a few of my pictures:
  3. Saw a few nice Corrados at Inters at the weekend... given us some more ideas for ours! The car is is need a a respray but after seeing the matt grey vinyl wrapped one on Inters we are thinking that would be a better option. Vinyl wrapped in matt blackberry!!
  4. What's wrong with that?! Saw a blue VR6 in Leyland again today, reg is L***BPM, I've seen this a couple of times now
  5. Saw another rado today, looked like a sherry VR6, reg was L***YRT It was on the M6 by Sandbach
  6. Thanks - yes I think so, they are Porsche D90's that we had diamond cut
  7. I saw a rado on the M6 today by junction 31!! It was a dark blue 16v reg was H***GLC. He waved - was it anyone from here??
  8. Don't break it!! There aren't enough mint ones left!!
  9. Thanks everyone!! Here is a picture from All Types at the weekend - Roxy's first show!!: The latest purchase for her are some Porsche front seats!! We weren't particularly looking for them but saw a bargain on fleabay and couldn't resist!!
  10. Thanks Judith! No she was using a 'specialist'!! From reading the paperwork it seems she had been getting ripped off each time she took the car in!!
  11. Wow...!! I can't believe how much we have done to the car in the 2 weeks or so since we got her!! Last weekend we decided to 'swiss cheese' the air box whilst deciding which induction kit to go for. The paperwork that came with the car said it had been serviced in October and March with the air filter being changed in October. Since then the car had done less than 3k miles so imagine our surprise when we found the filter in this condition: I doubt that it has been changed in the last 10k miles never mind 3k!! I have learned something too this week! I have discovered that my better half DOES listen to me! I mentioned (maybe once or twice!!) that I would like the grill painted. I went to the gym on Tuesday night and when I got home found that Steve had painted my grill: The Porsche D90s we in need of some TLC when we got them so decided to have them diamond cut. They should be ready to go on tomorrow: Before: After: Also the coilovers were fitted this morning!
  12. Whoop whoop!! Went to Nottingham last night to pick up the new wheels. We have got some Porsche D90's that should be on by the weekend!!
  13. V nice! Welcome!
  14. You won't regret it!! We got ours just over a week ago and we're still smiling!! Keep your eye out for Rado's with head gasket problems, we viewed a few like that
  15. Ditto - I am getting the same message saying my posts need to be admin approved... please can someone fix it??
  16. I didn't see it on eBay, we found it on Pistonheads and it had only been up for a day when we went to view it! But sounds like the same one. The lady we bought it off bought it in 99 with about 12k on the clock!
  17. I don't think there is one company specifically that are 'cheapest' as there are so many different factors taken into consideration. I have used Swift Cover & Diamond for years on previous cars (R32, 350Z, A5 Quattro) but none of them would insure me on my VR6!! I've gone with AXA this time as they were cheapest for me.
  18. Nice looking motor you have there!!
  19. Update on the progress so far... We have been in possession of the Rado for 6 days now and so far have managed to cross quite a bit off the things to do list: 1 ) Touch up stone chips on front end 5 ) De-swirl full car 8 ) Remove original dealer sticker & badge 12 ) Paint wheels hubs & brake calipers 14 ) Clean engine bay 16 ) Remove rub strips Here are some pics before: And some after: Looks like we have sold some wheels we had in the shed too so should be able to get some new wheels for this very soon!!
  20. Thanks guys! Indeed we do have a challenge or few ahead of us but it should be worth it!! Pat - yes that's us!! Are you on there too?
  21. Howdy!! My other half and I have been fans of Dubs for a long time now and now the time has come for us to make a new purchase in the form of a Blackberry VR6 in need of a little TLC! We have a rather long list of things we want/need to do to return her to her former glory so here goes (in no particular order): 1 ) Touch up stone chips on front end 2 ) Paint rear end 3 ) Coil-overs 4 ) Wheels 5 ) De-swirl full car 6 ) MOT advisories 7 ) CAI 8 ) Remove original dealer sticker & badge 9 ) Lupo aero wipers 11 ) New front seats 10 ) Retrim interior 11 ) Replace front fog lights 12 ) Paint wheels hubs & brake calipers 13 ) Paint front grill 14 ) Clean engine bay 15 ) Under bonnet bits 16 ) Remove rub strips 17 ) New steering wheel 18 ) New dash (possibly MKIV Golf) 19 ) Replace stereo with double din 20 ) Sort speakers My intention is to update this thread as we go and hopefully you should already begin to see some progress!! Caroline & Steve (MacDaddy)
