Corrado display @ 2016 VW festival
JEZR replied to VAG-hag's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
I've posted it up on Facebook pages for Dorset Corrado and Southern Corrado Club. Let's hope there's a posse from the coast - there's enough cars about! -
Fitted by an expert they were! Cheers D [emoji41]

Here's the finished product. Hope you can zoom in?

Got to say that I'm well pleased with how they look. It's really helped to tidy up the engine bay. Top job!

Registered but holding off buying tickets as I've no idea when I heading north. Might be an early Saturday travel up? -

I might have a blast at this. See if we can get a posse together from the coast? -
Corrado owners in the Salisbury area

Kev is in Salisbury, I'm in Blandford and there's a whole nest in Bournmeouth. However, as above, I'll be going SORN after the Resto show at the Bath & West. Would suggest joining the CCGB too! -
Bar it is! Cheers.

Cressa . I'm just about to do mine. Stupid question but beater ask thank ruin them. The central bit is already painted. I'm thinking I should go over this but what about all the end bits. I should blankoff which bits and what shouldn't I paint?
-
They've arrived (along with everything else) and I'll be doing the paint thing over the weekend. Would be nice to get this lot bolted on before the Resto show at Bath & West.
-
True! At this rate I might put some casters on the roof and drive it upside down!!
-
Cheers Jim. I think those endorsements do it for me. Ordering now! This should near complete the underside front end tidy up. Sump cover is looking shabby too. Might just Hammerite that?
-
Cheers for that. I had a hunt for threads and got fully confused! All the kit on the underside is going to get powder coated or plasticoated ( once I've found out how much!

Any ideas where I can get drive shafts for the VR6? Hunting hi and low and really don't want bespoke shafts for £800 from America!!
-
Looking good!

After getting the car back from the garage, it looks like they've cured the squeak that's been going on far too long. I've then spent about two hours of cleaning the inside and another on the wheels. Tomorrow the bodywork gets buffed ready for the Berkley Show on Sunday. Can't wait for the run up to Gloucestershire and seeing mates from the CCGB.

Done!

You could even buy my red one (as pictured) if you want it.? Or, here's the link where I got my black one from http://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/330688700173

So, it's an 8cm x 8cm bit of silicone that fits into the filter and the MAF with two circlips. I've just got a black piece as I've gone with black white and silver on my engine. Tube is available on eBay and was about £7. They sell it in 10cm lengths but I got them to trim it to 8cm.
-
Here's a pic of mine. The tube came with the filter but I think this is an extra Stealth use.
-
It looks like your missing 8cm of silicone pipe between the filter and the meter? If so, I suspect this is why it isn't fitting?
