The Golf and the Corrado have been under wraps over winter. I fancied something a bit diiferent as a daily so I went non VW for the first time in 20+ years

I heard good reviews about these and I must say I'm very impressed at the moment. I think a remap is on the cards :norty:

I know you can get replacement trays from the Main Dealers. Someone should be able to provide the part number.

I'm fairly sure the chasis are all the same.

Have a search on Flea Bay. I purchased a new one from the Air Flow Meter Company (I think they are called) for about £40. They are not genuine but they do have a years warranty and who cares at that price. Most of ther stuff is best offer so try offering between £5 and £10 less :)

I've got a new set in my garage that i bought from here a year or so ago that i never ended up using!

You are best to replace the lot while you have the sun roof apart :) You need cables and guides IIRC.

I don't think anyone bar VW does a repair kit. I hope you have deep pockets. The parts to change the guides and cables were about £120 when I did mine a about four years ago.

had the same problem myself- a blowtorch was the only way I could get them out- wish I would have used it first :-(

Plus Irwins and you'll have them off in no time!

The plastic is easily broken which makes the rod drop out, mine had broken so bought one from the dealer last year around March time.

Ah! Do you have the part No? and how much was it?

I have the same problem. Just have the plastic pin dropped in the hole at the moment.

I have used the online reserve facility a few times as you can get extra discount using Top Cash Back.

Just use the link to register and seach for a supplier ie Halfords, Ebay, Argos etc. Then use the link to the supplier. I have used insurance comparison sites to get the cheapest insurance quote then used one of their links from the Top Cash Back site to get money back. I managed to get £70 when I took out a policy for the Polo :D :D There are quite a few freebies as well.

Saw this last weekend. I would give it a 6/10 at best. Still worth a watch though.

The relays should be part of the loom .... if not they're damn expensive!

About £40 each last time I checked.

There's a Corrado at Silverlake Andy. It's been there for a while so I'm not sure how much is left.

Don't forget the ISV itself. Just because it's buzzing doesn't mean to say that it's doing it's job.

Early valver coming out from the car park by Waterlooville Asda and N2 VRG on the A27 today.

It's quite safe to attack them with a drill wire brush attachment. It's best to tape up the rubber piston seals to avoid getting them damaged. This is how my Golf calipers turned out and they are 22 years old.

If it's just the lens you can still get them new for about £40
