  3. Cheers everyone ... thanks for the quick replies!!!
  4. Just had my VR6 MOT'd and serviced and they have picked up just a few things (I wish) that need attention ... Been saving for months for a re-spray so wanna try and do some of the mechanical stuff myself so as to not eat into my savings too much but am a bit of a novice so any help/ advice would be gratefully received. I have been searching the forum for previous threads that might help me. Front brakes are juddering - ordered my pads and discs which arrived today and having a go at this over the weekend ... wish me luck Play in rear wheel bearing - going to adjust these at this weekend too There is corrosion on the brake pipes - going to rub these down and paint them Slight noise in front wheel bearings/ Play in the suspension top mounts - Don't think I am quite up to this job yet so going to book him in to garage but I read on the forum that I should consider replacing wishbones, track rod ends and ball joints at the same time? These additional parts are bumping up quotes for this job so wonder what people think? Oil cooler is leaking oil and coolant ??? Seen loads of different things of the forum about this - will investigate further this weekend while he's jacked up but not sure what I should be looking for?! Axel bushes have perished - I have no idea  Cheers DaisyD
  5. Hey  Got a couple of ABS errors on my Randy Rado! It's a 95 VR6 and I need to locate the ABS value block - any hints and tips gratefully received? Errors are as follows ... 259 ABS inlet value, front right (N99) 276 ABS outlet value, rear left (N136) Cheers DaisyD
  6. Both my sills are gone too! Just waying up whether to save up and get a full respray in Spring but your quote has just scared me!!! Thks VR6Pete, just going to get as many quotes as poss so will try there too.
  7. Hey J - I am up in Trentham, what about u? I haven't dared ask for the whole thing - you are very brave! lol My new purchase needs a bit of TLC on it's rusty body work - I am looking at £800 for some welding on the sills and a drivers side re-spray
  8. Thanks to both - will let you know what I find
  9. Well it definitely gets worse at higher speeds so sounds like you are on to something - thank you Looking through my service history have found a receipt for pads and discs on Sept 08, done about 10,000 miles since then
  10. Lol - yes, it has been a long day! That is reassuring because rpm is steady, no bouncing around. I can feel brake peddle pulsing under foot when braking from high speeds not especially hard braking - will investigate ... Thank you :-)
  11. Hi I picked up my VR6 last weekend and am totally smitten already!!! But got a couple of questions - I have noticed that it has quite a high idle speed, between 5-10k rpm, is this normal? Also, I can feel my ABS kicking in when I brake when I would expect it to? I had a Golf GTI before and from what I have read I wasn't expecting my Corrado brakes to be fantastic but was wondering what you experienced Corrado owners think? Any help gratefully received DaisyD
  12. Also a newbie from Stoke!!! - had a couple of quotes on a re-spray on my VR6 this week from a place on Leek Road and there is a good place in Bradwell on A34, both come highly recommended but would also like to know any others?!?!
