No . I will put up the pics when I've sorted this Tapatalk thing ( technofobe ) lol . I've had the roof lip where the screen sits cut out . Both rear quarter windows have had rust cut out . On the rear of the sill on the drivers side the paint had cracked so that's been sorted . I had rust by the rear window wiper and half way up on the tailgate. The bumper had spidering in the paint , so that's been done too . Most of the car has been flatted back ( is flatted a word ?) . Then re lacquered . All other panels have been treated to a full scale polish and wax .Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Awsome! It should be good for another 25 years of service!
I had my a piller and around the windscreen area rust sorted last year including roof respray, i went for no car cover and wax on the roof while the car sat on my parents drive. No problems whatsoever, just check for bird ****e daily and you'll be fine

Thank you very much . I can't wait till next Saturday!. Yes apart from a few minor niggles she will be mint really . The work had to be done , otherwise another year and I would face breaking it . I've put too much time and dough in to her to let her go now . Here's to ten years of ownership.I bet you can't! I'd be like a dog with two d**ks! Lol
You've definitely done the right thing mate.
Have you had the whole car sprayed?

I've been following your car on facebook at Resto shack Rob, I absolutely love the work they do there! I'm a good 180 mile away from them but that might not stop me sending my car there next year.
I must say, your car is going to be one fine example when you get it back! The icing on the cake with all work you've put in.
Cracking colour aswell might i add

Turbo all day long. Don't waste anything on n'asp or S/C parts and put it towards the turbo kit instead. If I had more money and time when i s/c'd mine i would of gone turbo( i probably will anyway at some point ). I do love my classic z engineering charger though!!
What do wrekon to turboing with the schrick mani Kev?
I know it's probably not needed but would it still improve low end torque off boost?

Now that is a bit of luck, i have exactly one left in perfect nick..Want any photos?
If it's the drivers side and you don't want 5 grand for it then yeah send me some pics

I refurbished mine, but the drivers side rubber seal thing has deteriorated and bits come off when i wash it

They'll probably go for silly money. Even though they are now available again new

Just to add to this fla, my car made just over 270 @6psi. You could always get the schrick first and then add a charger later on??

Me too for the left side scraper seal lol

Actually this is the dilemma i'm having - which one to get, as i cant afford both! Just want a bit more low end punch whilst keeping the car generally stock. If there were to be a power boost, i would likely aim for around 260/270 bhp to keep the stock internals.Due to the nature of centrifugal superchargers you won't get any low down gains from them, but coupled with a schrick you get the best of both worlds, low end torque with the schrick and top end power with the charger!! Or just turbo it

I also have the same cams! They seem to work well with schrick vgi and a supercharger

Really like it. Idle is much better, economy has improved, it never stalls, and there's a lot more data in vcds - although i dont know how to make use of it yet! Driveabilith is also better.Plus the engine bay is a bit tidier..
I guess i need to start my own schrick plus g60 final drive wanted thread now...
Thanks mate. Thats everything i want it to do lol. I'll have to have get it remapped again though as mine is supercharged. Thats going to be another £400+ ffs haha.
Good luck with the schrick hunt, you won't be disappointed.

Hmm g60 final drive sounds good. I have thought about a turbo but that will be a longer term project..Sounds good. Slightly off topic but how are you finding your obd2 conversion? I brought one off the forum last year but haven't got round to fitting yet.

I've converted mine to obd2 so already have the golf one p!us some 264 cams. Just want to improve low end power delivery a bit moreI think thats about your lot without the schrick mate. Have you considered the g60 final drive? I've not done it myself but I've heard some great things about it.
Or turbo??

Its just a 2 inch cut from the double skinned framework underneath the bonnet, it doesn't show with the bonnet closed and if you go steady with the dremel you wont scorch the paintSounds about right mate. From memory i think i ended up cutting mine slightly larger in the end as i think my vibratechnics front mount sits the engine slightly higher.
