think you would be best buying a 2.0 engine and go from there,get the head gas flowed and some cams that would eat up your 1200 straight away and i think that would be the cheapest option

just fitted mine,used 4 screws,didnt use a drill,just screwed them into the plastic light surround

but the struts are the same as mk2 golf ones so could be 15 years old,probably just with different springs thats all

if its still on the original dampers they would be getting on for nearly 15 years old so they are bound to be worn a bit,so you will get some body roll,either get some new standard shocks or uprated ones or if yoiu can afford coilovers,i get no body roll on mine at all now :D

has anyone used or heard anything about db car retrims at all??im getting my interior retrimmed in leather soon,been quoted a price of £750+vat but that was done over e mail,so could be cheaper or dearer any opinoins guys? dbcarretrim

there was a how to on the ccgb on how to do the dremel mod to your existing wipers did mine and got much better results,just need new wipers now and get some of the rain x to give it a helping hand :D

first of all which engine mount has gone?the fronts dead easy,i bought an uprated frount mount from turn2 cost me about £35

you can get a manual from halfords,it by lyndsay porter,not seen one myself though so i cant rate them

i agree with dr_mat, get him to do an mot and at least then you will know if its road worthy and safe
