  1. I've got a set of Avo Chassis Dynamics lowering springs product code 95-054 which according to their website is for VR6's up to 1994:

    95-054

They've got a separate product listed for VR6's between '1994-'1996:

    95-056

After speaking to the suppllier it turns out that the spring seat of the shock was 80mm up till 1994 then they reduced it to 70mm.

Can anybody confirm or deny this and would these fit my car then ?

  2. To be honest I was just experimenting with spraying the whole lens black.

After a lot of consideration I'm gonna remove the tint from the red section and just leave the orange tinted.

All that orange ... was too ... eighties !

Basically will look like my Blackberry one in the end.

Cheers for all the comments guys.

  3. Window tints make it look ... can I say classy withouth sounding like a snob ?

Mind you I went for the Medium tint but I think the Light Smoke actually looks more classy.

Will keep the heat out in the summer, and prevent prying eyes from stealing what they can't afford

Bear in mind though that from Jan this year it is illegal to have any tint in front of the B-pillar.

The Corrado is factory-tinted anyway at 30% so even a light smoke on the front will deem it illegal.

But then my car was tinted before Jan this year Ossifer ... :p

  4. I used to love Blackberry, now I Iove this colour because it is so rare.

In fact I still love the Blackberry.

Hell I love them both !

This was my Blackberry one ... R.I.P.

Had the same, also rare, grey heated leather interior too :)

Looks much more plush than black.

  5. Thanks 8)

I know the VR6 was only released in '92 but were there some changes to the suspension in '94 then ?

They've got a separate product listed for VR6's between '94-'96:

    :?: :?: :?:

  6. Right I was waiting until I got my new wheels fitted until I posted proper pictures of my new VR6.

    Lupo/Polo wipers

    Interior:

    Grey heated leather

    Custom-made DIY MDF stealth shelf

    Kenwood 7" x 10" in the back

    Soon to come:

    Avo 35mm lowering springs

    Cold Air Induction kit

  7. I have just purchased a set of 17" alloys (no tyres) and the seller advised £40 next-day courier from Wales.

So I'd say £50 tops then.

Could always ring a courier company and organise the delivery yourself, or is that cheeky ?

You know, tell him you'll send someone round to collect them ... else you'll pop one in his kneecaps

  8. tut tut tut. get those filters OUT of the engine bay, you're killing the performance.

That's what I'm intending to do.

Just looking for a cheap filter to put on the end of the pipe.

It'll be behind the bumper so I don't care about looks.

Out of interest, what filter are you using and does it look about the same size as the FK one above in the pic ?

And where did you get hold of a cold feed pipe ? Make one ?

  9. OK the rims I've bought are TT 17" 6-spoke and they're 7.5 inches wide.

    MR VR6's 15" Speedlines are 6.5" wide.

Does any one know if I can still fit a 205 wide tyre on them ?

Want to stick to the Plus 2 rule by going for 205/40/17 tyres.

If I put on 225 width like the standard TT then I'll either have to have a LOW profile like 35

or stick to 40 but have increased rolling radius which I don't really want.

  10. Cheers dude.

Only future problem I've noticed is the the little 8mm bolt on that brass "thingy" at the end of the cable looks a bit corroded.

Do you get a new one with the cable ?

And what's a good palce to ge the cable ?

VW stealer or somewhere like GSF ?

    Thanks in advance.

  11. Mine didn't release the passsenger's side and I know the remedy is to loosen the nut at the end of the cable and then take up some of the slack,

but now my cable has snapped off at the lever end.

Is this a DIY job to insert a new cable and does anyone have any pics/instructions if they've done it before ?

    Any advice appreciated.
