  1. Too true Kev too true.

    So you're saying I don't need the K&N 57i cone filter then - just a "bent pipe" and a cheapo £15-£20 K&N filter ?

Unfortunately I dont't have a garage or any tools otherwise I would make one up myself.

Might be a little project or group buy methinks.

    Watch this space ...

  2. Yeah I've seen those Turn2 cold air intakes.

Certainly the best idea/concept seeing as you stick it from under the wheel arch and through the carbon canister hole, but I was thinking of spending no more than £100.

These ones cost around £130 from http://www.turn2usa.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=T&Product_Code=t2_a3vrcai&Category_Code=cai

Even comes with instructions just in case someone wants to do a similar mod for their existing cone filter: http://www.turn2usa.com/a3vr6caiinstall.html

  3. Just bought some TT rims off fleabay and need some decent rubber !

I want to fit some 205/40/17 tyres - anybody recommended any online places that deliver,

or somewhere in the North-East London/Essex area ?

Read earlier someone managed to get 4 delivered for £230 but can't remember who or where they were from.

My nearest tyre place will do them for £260.

  4. Ok I've had the K&N 57i on my previous Rado ... looking to try something different.

Anybody had any experience with say the PiperCross ?

    How about BMC ?

    RamAir ?

Any to stay clear of ?

I've heard that the cotton ones are better.

    Don't want one too loud.

The K&N was quite a noisy bugger

  5. Are there any Alarm Fobs that WILL actually fit inside the MK4 flip key internals ?

    I've got a MK4 flip key already ...

I've got the standard VW-branded (Scorpion ?) alarm fob which is pretty small on it's own.

  6. Bet it looks good with the new interior :)

    You taken pics yet ?

PS I'm looking at some this weekend now that I've sold me bike so hope to be back into Corradoing very soon.

You still go those tinted tail lights and side-repeaters ?

Might need to buy some bits off you !

  7. Was being sarcastic about the locking bit :p

I did see the car and also wondered if anyone knew any history.

    Obviously not.

    Yes I've got withdrawal symptoms.

This weekend on my bike will determine whether I'm gonna sell it for another Corrado.

Just looking at what's out there so long.

So I might be back ... but for now I frequent the UK Ducati Monster Owner's Club (forum)

  8. I'm in the same predicament.

Had bike accident last year May.

Bike taken off the road and put in storage.

Next month I bought a car - lovely Mazda MX-3 which is the smallest V6 engine in production at 1.8 litres. Revs much quicker than my VR6. Anyway.

As you know got the VR6 and had the accident in it, innit !

Sold the car, fixed up bike, now that it's warmer and I'm gonna get it MOT'd this weekend.

But I really miss having a Corrado !

I will probably kill myself on a bike and I feel much safer in a car.

But summer + warm sun = biking weather.

    Which would you choose ?

Oh and my mother said I can use her car which is a N-reg Mazda 332.

So I COULD have 4-wheel transport if I really wanted to keep my Monster.

PS would cost too much to have both and insure both, what with having accidents on both !
