  1. A couple of panels left over from my dear departed VR6. SOLD - SORRY FOLKS! For some reason my Dad is not so happy about these being on the patio anymore, so either they go to someone who needs them for beer money or they will be going to the scrap man over Christmas. Collection only, although that could be from either Walsall, West Mids (WS9 postcode) or from Cardiff, as I am always in Cardiff during the week, so could get them there for collection if needed. Open to offers, particularly if you can collect from Walsall as it is a lot less hassle for me than fitting them into the car and dragging them to Cardiff! Rear Bumper (Moonlight Blue) - Pretty good condition as far as I can see. Bumper iron is a bit rusty, but skin is in good nick with a nice shine -FREE Passengers Side Door - In twilight violet, and frankly a little ropey (see pics for specific bad bits) - few marks all over, paint is a bit tired etc. It does, however, still have window, electric window regulator/fixings, door catch, central locking bits all on it, and might be of use to someone - It obviously all still works fine etc, just a bit tired - FREE Any questions about anything, just shout Cheers Dan
  2. For Sale - Corrado VR6 Turbo - Registered May 1996 Built by Crazy Dave at home on the drive. 0-60.... 5 seconds... 12.1s quarter mile Garrett GT 3076 R Ball Bearing Turbo Custom Short Runner Manifold Custom 3" exhaust downpipe and external waste gate mated to Jetex full stainless steel exhaust system. PVR Charge cooler with 12" pre-rad mounted in front of main rad. ARP Head bolts with custom stainless steel head spacer. Helix Motorsport clutch and new genuine VW flywheel. 360cc Bosch Injectors. Complete chain rebuild using all genuine VW parts. Vibratechnics mounts all round. Firm but not harsh All extra pipework is 316 stainless steel (i.e. the best!) Remapped ecu to handle extra performance (by yours truly). Recent refurbed Solitude wheels and 2 new tyres. Toyo Proxes T1R 225/55/15 Koni adjustable dampers and PI Springs. Front and rear fully re-built in the last 10k miles. Track rods, rod ends, ball joints, roll bar drop links, top mounts, rear bushes. Roof strips still in great condition (ie not been trimmed) 288mm EBC grooved and vented. MK IV front calipers. Stainless steel flex hoses all round. EBC Yellow stuff pads. Standard Rears. Interior is original. Grey Leather. Badged as a Storm inside and out but isn't, it's been like this from new. The dealer put them on! New 90mm front spoiler. Nearly new 50mm included. New genuine gear knob. Momo Race steering wheel. Original wheel also included. Glove box now contains. Electronic boost controller. Two modes - 0.5bar = 290hp, 0.8bar = ~350hp. Boost gauge and fuses for charge cooler fan and pump. iPod 30pin interface. Pioneer bluetooth radio with handsfree. 2 x Philips amps in the boot with Pioneer OE fit speakers all round (no holes cut anywhere!) MOT till May 2014. Tax till end March 2014. Paint is pretty good, mostly original so some chips along the bonnet and front wings. TBH this is the only thing that lets the car down a little and was next on my list of things to do. Still really good though. Lots of other spec stuff, so much I can't remember it all. File stuffed full of receipts. Turbo parts alone adds up to over £5000! Mileage currently 94k. Car finished 4th in class 14 (VW Coupes) at Stanford Hall this year despite all the mods the car is original inside and out. It looses all its points under the bonnet for not being factory standard! Oil and filter changed every 6000miles from initial ownership. VW Synta Gold, FSH before this. Essentially this car has wanted for nothing. Lots of people know this car and have been out for a 'Pootle'. It's been described by many as such a good conversion that it drives like VW built it. Lots and lots of spares and all the original parts removed for the conversion. Lots of now obsolete parts like, door rubber strips, wing mirrors seals, front screen seals and trim pieces, seat squab foams etc etc. Another set of solitudes (original from car). 2 x Doors, 2x working sunroofs, spare lights, mirrors and loads of trim. Basically if anybody gets close to the asking price the all the spares will come as part of the package. Looking for offers in the region of £7k with everything. I may consider coming lower without the parts package which is easily £1k on its own, but seeing as most of it is now obsolete........ Sensible offers only please. Any questions drop me a PM.
  3. For sale set of Spedline wheels with all caps included- all 4 need refurbishing £100 + shiping cost form Poland DPD will do it £40 deliverd.
  4. SOLD As I'm now planning to rebuild the Mk1 and the Corrado is garaged I won't be fitting this :( It's a g-werks stainless manifold with lambda boss etc. £160 quid inc UK Delivery. It's used (Not by me). These were something like £380 quid when new I think?
  5. These were theoretically sold, so I pulled the previous advert, however it fell through as the buyer couldn't get the money together. They are in my way, and I could do with the cash, so £700 firm takes them. I could mess around listing them at a higher price to get bargained down, or put them on ebay and get more for them etc etc, but I could do with a hassle free, fairly quick sale, so there you go! Full set of Proper Corrado Recaros, in Half Black leather. In very good, useable condition, but not completely mint, I have tried to get pics of any bits that aren't so good, but all pretty minor stuff so difficult to get pictures of. I know that these can attract frankly ridiculous money sometimes, and being skint, would love to be getting pocketfuls of cash for these, however, I have tried to price them fairly given the condition, and in mind that I could do with them out of the way (If I had the space I would just keep them till I end up with a rado again, as I think they are probably the best seats I have ever had in a car bar none) and so I am after £900£700 Originally (I am guessing) from a left hooker, drivers bolsters are in excellent condition, and the passengers side, while leather is all very good, the bolsters are very, very slightly flattened if I am being ultra critical. The cloth centres could probably benefit from a good deep clean, but are certainly not dirty or unusable, I am just again being ultra critical. Anyway, pictures speak a thousand words, so: Drivers Side: Overall very good condition, leather in great condition, couple of marks on cloth parts Small Mark on piping at the furthest section back on bottom cushion: Mark at very back of bottom cushion where fabric has rubbed: Bolsters: Mark on Headrest: Passengers Side: Again overall very good condition - As said further up, if being ultra critical, the outer bolsters are a little flattened due to being from a LHD, and there are a couple of tiny marks on the piping on the upper bolster (shown in pics) Marks on Piping: Mark on Headrest: Rears: Complete with original First Aid kit (which still has all the stuff in it as far as I can see, unopened) and the warning triangle (I haven't taken the triangle out to take pics, as I was worried about putting it back in properly - I have never taken one out before!) Hump: Seats: Note that any marks that show on the leather in the main pics are down to how it was stacked prior to pics, and are not permanent marks Small mark on rear of headrest on drivers side rear: If anyone wants more pictures, let me know, however I would much rather any prospective buyer came to see them and was 100% happy with them before buying (also they would be both very expensive and risky to courier). Also, the seats are at my Dads house in the West Midlands, and I work in Cardiff all week, so would be the weekend before I could get more. I also removed the wiring loom for the seats - I assume it is actually already installed in all corrados anyway, but if not I have it and the purchaser of the seats is welcome to it if they wish. It is not up to me what happens to them once they are sold, however I would really like them to go into a corrado, and not have the rears *******ised to fit into a polo or golf etc, as they are such an original, good condition set of seats. I would love to keep them, but don't have the space or spare cash at the minute to justify it - I doubt I will be able to get another set anytime soon They are in Walsall, West Mids for viewing Any questions, just shout Dan
  6. G60 front subframe, complete with wishbones, ARB and steering rack. Perfect to powdercoat and rebuilt or even as a working spare for your damaged one. £100
  7. THESE ARE NOW THEORETICALLY SOLD PENDING PICK-UP - IF IT FALLS THROUGH I WILL PUT BACK UP FOR SALE Full set of Proper Corrado Recaros, in Half Black leather. Also, the seats are at my Dads house in the West Midlands, and I work in Cardiff all week, so would be the weekend before I could get more. If anyone is interested and is putting them into a car with a none-black interior, I do have a full set of interior for making yours Black, i.e carpet, A,B & C Pillars, Dash and Door cards (although the door cards are not leather) that could be negotiated separately, or will be listed separately when I get a chance. I also removed the wiring loom for the seats - I assume it is actually already installed in all corrados anyway, but if not I have it and the purchaser of the seats is welcome to it if they wish. It is not up to me what happens to them once they are sold, however I would really like them to go into a corrado, and not have the rears *******ised to fit into a polo or golf etc, as they are such an original, good condition set of seats, hence putting them on here first and (hopefully) pricing them fairly. I would love to keep them, but don't have the space or spare cash at the minute to justify it - I doubt I will be able to get another set anytime soon They are in Walsall, West Mids for viewing, although I am only there at the weekend, if you could only make weeknights, I can arrange for my brother to show them to you, as he knows his stuff anyway! Any questions, just shout Dan
  8. 312mm Brake Conversion - Has almost everything you need to bolt straight onto your VR, apparently you just need banjo style brake lines, I had assumed that they were standard VR fare as mine had them, but apparently they aren't. I am not kidding, this conversion has made my VR the best braking car I have ever had, without exception. If you stamp on them, they will rip your face off, absolutely brilliant. Only small problem is that they need at least 16s to be run for the calipers to clear the wheels. Includes virtually brand new Brembo discs and Pagid pads that were fitted a couple of months ago, as I never intended to break the car they were on (discs and pads are 225bhp TT/S3 spec, so not a fortune to replace either when they wear). - Calipers, shims needed to position correctly, longer bolts, pads and discs all SOLDED - Sorry Folks If you wish they could alternatively be collected from either Walsall, West Mids, or from Cardiff. Any questions just shout Dan
  9. Ok a while ago I wanted a few notes for this rear shelf with infinity speakers -6x9s and a 10 inch sub along with cd changer and head unit. Now the missus just needs me to move them out of the kitchen. If you can collect them from Surrey (Weybridge) by this Wednesday they are yours free, gratis and for nowt! Any takers? Pm me first come first served. Hey if you want to slip me a fiver to go towards my next couple of pints that would be great, but not necessary! Mark
  10. VR6 | Classic Green | Mellor (near Blackburn) Price: SOLD Description: Hi all, time for a bank holiday special offer ;-) I have been looking to sell my Corrado VR6 but recently encountered a problem where it cut out and wouldn't restart. While this is probably something that can be fixed quite easily, a combination of factors has put it some way down my list of priorities at the moment. Firstly the car is currently at my mum's house in Mellor and I have struggled to find time to get down from Lancaster to work on it due to job change-over, first-time house buying and another addition to our family on the way! As a result I thought I might post it up here in the hope of a quick sale to someone who can take care of the car and simultaneously help me with costs towards moving home. So, the car is a '95 N-reg Corrado VR6 manual in Classic Green with 125,000 miles on the clock, MOT until March 2014 and taxed until end Feb 2014. It's a good car with a lot of features and would provide a good base for someone on here to continue as a nice little project. The Good: 17" ABT A11 alloy wheels Full black leather interior in excellent condition, ABT Nardi steering wheel & gear knob Full closure Cat 1 alarm Working sunroof (tilts & slides) & fully working spoiler Upper and lower front anti-roll bars, lower rear anti-roll bar Schrick 268 cams Programmable wiper relay, original hazard warning triangle. Recent Work: Gearbox rebuild & new clutch Reconditioned cylinder head, new head gasket, 8 new valves & all valve stem seals New timing chains, tensioners & guide rails Cylinders re-honed & new piston rings Bottom end rebuild, crankshaft polished Oil pump rebuild, new water pump, new battery The Bad: Previous Cat-C accident damage but repaired and on the road for 12 years. Noisy tappets (unfortunately not replaced in the rebuild). Bodywork is decent but has a few areas where the paint finish could be better. Some rust showing on the OSR arch and under the outer skin of drivers door. Intermittent ABS fault light - ABS does work when the light goes out. OSF CV joint knocks on full lock. During my ownership I have had some misfortune with this car (failure of the gearbox closely followed by the timing chain tensioner) which has led me to having had quite a lot of work done as you can see above. Of course my misfortune is to the advantage of the new owner as I have done nearly everything you would typically worry about on a Corrado VR6. Since the engine and gearbox were sorted I have had no major trouble (until this cut-out problem) and the car usually runs well even managing 35mpg on long cruises! It will be a shame to see the car go after putting so much into repairs but I am struggling to find time for it at the moment and I hope it can go to someone who will take care of it and keep the progress going in the right direction. For any more info or questions please call or text on 07708 526638 or PM me here on the forum. Thanks for looking, Mik
  11. SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD Set of 4 BBS RS771 2 piece split rims. They are 5x100 ET 42 6 1/2J x16 (which I believe makes them from a Mk4 Golf) As usual with these, the outer rim is corroded, and needs a refurb really (I planned to use them as winters on my rado and them refurb next summer once the gritters had gone home for the season! As I don't have a rado anymore, I have no need for them) They are a lovely looking wheel, and accordingly when refurbed attract decent money. Given the condition I am only after £200 £170 ono for them. All 4 genuine BBS centre caps are present, but will want new logos, as they are a bit manky. In my opinion all 4 tyres need replacing. Pic of them on my corrado for reference to how they fit: Wheels are in Walsall, West Mids for collection, but could also be collected from Cardiff, as I am there every week with work. Any questions, just shout Dan

  13. VR6 | Red | Addlestone, Surrey Price: £1000 Description: VW Corrado 2.9 VR6 Red Automatic. 116K Miles MOT: Runs out end of July. Tax : Declared Sorn. Owners: 4. I have owned the car since Aug 2004 There is service history with the car, however nothing recent although oil and filters and plugs have been done but not by a garage. The car is basically standard. It has been fully resprayed at some point to a good standard and the underside is in great shape with no signs of structural rust anywhere. There are a few marks on the bodywork and a scrape on the rear wheel arch. It has had what I would call standard Corrado issues as described in many forum posts, ie Air Mass Meter, Sunroof only tilts, Thermostat Housing, Radiator Fan. All have been repaired in the last 2 years. HOWEVER... The main issue I have now and cannot afford to repair is the auto box is on its way out. It clunks slightly into 1st, 2nd and 3rd and quite heavily into 4th gear. It has been reliable and enjoyable and is mechanically very sound. HENCE...Due to the lack of recent service history and gearbox issues i can only ask for £1000 and I obviously will not be taxing and getting an MOT PIctures to follow
  14. Recently supplied by daves 16v on this Forum. Unused and now surplus to requirements. Asking price is £25 inc. First Class delivery.

  21. I recently bought a Mk3 Golf VR6 with the sole intention of transplanting the engine, gearbox, running gear etc into my Mk3 Golf Cabriolet. Included in the deal was the manifold, gaskets and fitting kit shown above. Presumably the previous owner bought the manifold for the Golf and I do not know if it is compatable with Corrado VR6 engine or not. No doubt someone on here will know and I'm not too proud to accept advice. I have no plans to use the manifold so I am offering it for sale. There is no makers name on the manifold but it does seem like a well made item with continuous and even welds. This will be a strictly 'Sold as Seen' sale, so do your research and be sure it will work. Asking price is £100 plus a £10 contribution towards the postage which will be substantial due to the weight.
  22. Hi All, I have for sale Corrado VR6 Complete Fan housing inc Fans from my VR6. I have installed a short intake runner and supercharged it so the housing no longer fits on my car. Has been sitting in my dry garage for three years and has not been exposed to the massive amounts of salt we have had on our roads over the last few winters! This salt seems to be rotting our beloved rides! Need the space badly so NOW REDUCED TO £60 + £12 UPS 24-48h delivery. Am open to sensible offers. Weight is 5.6kg and feel free to sort out your own delivery if you like. Paypal payment as a gift please OR can be collected with cash from Bath . NOW SOLD
  23. Storm - Classic green - cream interior VR6 for £3250 (negotiable) near Edinburgh/Glasgow. Description: See photos in "craigowl's" gallery. Ask any questions and I will furnish you with fuller details and specific photographs taken today. Car is MOTd till May 2014 Taxed till March 2014. 108k Two mature owners from new. I am 67 - I bought car in 2002. Car is not for shows with its present untouched, complexion. It is an honest car of 18 years old with good history and everything working. Seen through all MOTs , any replacement components done as required without hesitation, often for better quality parts. I am a fan of durability and function over bling, but I am not obsessive and 18 year old cars do tend to get rust on robust suspension and steering components underneath, and cream leather and carpet is for fussy people who like cleaning! Ready to drive away, and with money thrown at it, could be a show-winner. Car is in Central Scotland adjacent to motorways, Edinburgh-Glasgow railway and airport. Had about 8 people interested over the last few years (most at the higher original price), but only 2 have come to look at car, one of them was set on mystic blue, and the other was a dealer from London - nuff said. Best regards Iain
