New G60 - where 2 start??

Lo all.

 

Ive just bought a G60 for £1700. Im going to have the charger looked at for my own piece of mind now, unless i can get in touch with some of the previous owners to see if its been done already.

 

Just a couple of questions as im fairly new to the mechanical side of cars :

 

1) Is there a Haynes manual or similar manual for the corrado? If so where from and how much?

 

2) Are there anyone in the UK that specialise in C's or that you would recommend?

 

3) Is there anything that i should check out or replace for peace of mind?

 

4) Id like new performance hoses all round, anyone recommend any?

 

5) The sunroof wont close properly. Ive been told in CCQ that

"Sunroof sounds like a broken cable.

 

You'll also need the repair kit for the "water guide plate" on that side as it's what caused the cable to break.

 

Total cost in bits is ~£70"

 

How easy is this to repair myself and where can i get the parts as i would like to keep it dry inside :)

Not to send shivers down your spine, but for 1700 pound, samco hoses are probably the last thing on your christmas list mate

 

But on a more positive side, welcome to Corrado ownership! 8)

 

oh and i serviced the car 3 months after buying it (Big mistake should have done it straight away) incl cambelt/battery/4xtyres/clutch/brakes/fuse box/water pump/isv valve/ignition switch/timing belts/cams etc

Yeah, im aware the low price means more work but i just had to have it :) As for the hoses, they are looking past it so i will be replacing them along with all the other little bits and pieces!

 

I think i may have to contact VW about getting it serviced then eh?? :)

is anyone gna fix the clocks on this forum? I just f ing panicked cos the time says 6 above.should have left an hour ago!

midlands, there are wuite a few guys from ur sides in here, look at the servicing section where ppl have recommended garages by region.

 

If u go vw they may do a good job, but itll be £. Prob better going to a corrado specialist, theyll know exactly what to do.

 

If anythin, put up a post in servicing asking which garages in ur area are recommended. You may even find c owners in ur area that may lend a helpng hand.

 

Anyways welcome to the forum, ull find a lot of dedicated c owners in here-ive picked upa lot of valuable info from the guys on the forum.and some utter nonsense aswell!!! ENJOY MATE>
