Yeah.. got to see them live not long after they released Morning Sci-Fi.. was at the University of Warwick Students Union and they were really good. Jim 2 Posted March 18, 2005 Ah.. bit of a fan of some of the Lamb stuff too Kev and some tracks by Air.. I'm surprised by your selection actually.. I was expecting a bit of Sinatra, some big band stuff, Golden Oldies type compilations... I kiiiid, I kiiiid :D
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted March 18, 2005 First track on the 'Lamb' album kicks butt :D Strong bassline with an old school drum n bass beat....liking it a lot! And Air....the french weirdos, but their music rocks....The "Don't be light" mixes on the Everybody Hertz album for example....turn the sub up :D Sinatra....nah, I didn't have a blue rinse last time I looked  Seriously though, 90% of my CDs is all bass orientated, fast paced stuff that most people hate! CazzaVR 0 Posted March 18, 2005 Nice- like a bit of D & B 8) Haven't really bought any for ages though. Kept meaning to buy Stakker vs Skynet- Clockwork, but could never find it anywhere :( Think the new A Guy Called Gerald album is supposed to be good. Kev, have you got the latest Orbital (Blue) album? A real return to form, if not a bit short. Wasn't too impressed with The Altogether. Like Brown Album and Insides best :D Shame they've called it a day- they were amazing live!
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted March 18, 2005 I haven't got Blue yet mate! Will add it to my download list! I only like one track on "The Altogether"..."Last Thing", number 6 I think? A guy called Gerald? Didn't he do "Voodoo ray" back in the late 80s?
The Hub 0 Posted March 18, 2005 Cheers AndyVR6, didn't know orbital had a new album out, may rush down the shops asap and check it out. Is a pity they called it a day, I travelled over to see them live in Edinburgh a few years back and as you say they were amazing. Would love to see Underworld live again, there concerts are the best. CazzaVR 0 Posted March 18, 2005 kevhaywire, yeh, only like last thing and funny break. He did indeed do Voodoo Ray (what a classic!). In the mid 90's he started doing some excellent intelligent D & B - Black Secret Technology is an excellent album. Apparently his new album is a bit more electro, which sounds cool- used to love those electro LP's back in the 80's. The Hub, yeh, came out a few months ago and it's worth buying. Have seen them 5 times and each one was fantastic. Agreed, Underworld are also brilliant live- saw them a few years back at Brixton Academy, and would like to see them again.
