3.2l 24v VR6 owners.....

Blimey...a 550bhp Golf! Dahlback Racing's MK4 is the most spectacular one I've ever seen though, makes that one look tame! It had a complete 20V UR Quattro engine and 4x4 system grafted in (No wimpy Haldex's here I thank you very much!) :shock:

 

Oh and a paltry 900bhp (on racing fuel, 800 on pump fuel) horse to go with it :twisted:

its meant to have nearer 1200bhp now.

JE forged pistons

Lightened and balanced bottom end

Grant Motorsport RSI spec head

Garret GT35/40R roller bearing turbo

NOS sportsman fogger nitrous kit

 

R32 02M 6 speed (4.24 final drive you see)

Haldex 4wd

 

we are talking 700-800bhp at the wheels..

 

in a stripped out mk2 golf. which I'm aiming to keep under the 1000Kg's mark.

As far as i knew the Dahlback golf had a audi 4.2 twin turbo engine in it...could be wrong though

Spoke to a few companies about turbo conversions. They don't recommend forged pistons as they lead to increased oil usage. Better to keep it simple.

how much have you spent on that car?????!

 

 

with current exchange rate of 1.8 or so $ to the £ then I've spent more thank $30,000 ! !

The conrods would need to be offset bushed then as there's no way I'd entertain a thick head gasket!

I saw this offset bushed business in a 2.0l 16v turbo conversion. How does that work then? Is it an expensive thing to do?
