Question about Insurance

Recommended Posts

The extra mods on my car that has not been insured are,

Alloys and exhaust.

How much do you reckon it would add to my current policy?

I am with direct line insurance.

Thanks

Alan

ive just got my first VR insured with Elephant. 1 year ncs and at fault accident 2 years ago.

car was 670 and extra 30 quid for wheels and an induction kit. I would say (at a mindless guess) annother 30 nicker for the exhaust.

The best thing to do is call the insurance Co and ask if it would affect your policy IF you had these mods done........theres to many factors for anybody else to tell you how much more you would pay.

True story. The whole thing is a lottery. Depends if you passed your test in a micra or a corsa really. :D

wont be too much, £30-£50 probs. However, a direct line employee told me that if you did have an accident, and these mods were found, they wouldn't invalidate your policy, they would just charge you the extra before paying out on the claim.

IMHO i would declare. insurance is 1 area where it's not worth cutting corners, just in case.
