Storm VR6 why the **** have you started to get bitchy? So your saying a corrado is an old mans car or what lol

No, I'm saying it's a mans car.

I don't mind the Fords, a mate of mine had a Sierra Cosworth, bloody quick and great fun, albeit made for the job.

A20 LEE has already summed it up in a nutshell methinks.

I never intended to be "bitchy" as you call it, it's just that selling a rare VW for a "weekend fun" Ford will haunt you in later years! :)

But as you say, each to their own, fair enough mate.

I thought he bought a 1.1 Fiesta as a runabout, and the RS was an Escort RS Turbo, not a Fiesta...?

Either way, I'd rather have a dub, but have to confess to still wanting to own an S1 Escort RS Turbo...

I say, whatever floats your boat... Far better to have something you like and enjoy it that have something just because other people tell you that it's better...

Looks like a nice car.

Wouldn't say the door cards look very leather. In fact, I agree with Lee - I wouldn't like to spend too much time in there full stop.

More impressed than I thought I'd be though!

How much?

does look very good condition, ditto interior but like you say, if you have more fun, then good for you.

All I'm saying is I've been in a 200bhp Escort RS with modded suspension and the handling was a bit scary, maybe that adds to the excitement tho.

Did your corrado still have the Rat sticker in the rear window?

I work with the salesman who sold that car from Scotts originally. He said it was given to the operations director's wife originally!

Is that Escort a local car? I'm sure I recognise the tiny front number plate. Looks mint but at 25psi I doubt it'd last long as a daily driver. I always liked the shape of the Mk4 Escort RS but the interior is definitely in need of modernisation!

Read the spec m8 its not running 25psi on stock anything. Now it came from Hinckey, its also not a daily drive just a weekend toy. The seats are so much nicer than my VR6 was, in fack EVERYTHING is better than the rado!

Dunno how I missed this thread. That is a proper Escort RS. Seen so many sh1tty ones but that's been done properly. Best colour aswell.

I'd still have your Corrado over that though, but know what you mean about boost, which is why my VR has a supercharger on it 8)

dodgy old thread this - first time i've read it today - i goes from a Ford Chav-type - no offence intended - pretending to love a rare corrado and wanting to buy a house, to then exposing his true chav colours and slating corrado's and that he can seriously murder them.

Anyway, remember your rs is seriously modded - a std rs would not touch a std vr, plus you were driving an auto. a std vr pulls 155mph and 0-60 in less than 6.5 sec. not many rs chav-mobiles :) can do that.

if you want to compare like for like, come and play with me and the wire or chrisvr6nos....... unless you bring an R34 skyline or something else that costs 50k plus, you'll only see our tailpipes :)

std rs V std vr, vr al the way

modded rs V modded vr, vr all the way :) - nice rs, as rs's go, BTW

Looks like a nice Escort.. been doing a bit of research on the previous owner (rather individual username he has!) and it looks like he spent a lot of time and money on the car.

But i'd still have the Corrado any day.

:D
