g60rado 0 Posted August 5, 2003 Will a cluster from a 2.0L 16v Passat fit the g60. The clocks look the exact same, but i'm not sure how they hook up. I'm looking to replace my clocks and cant find one out of a g60.

W3RKD 0 Posted August 5, 2003 have you got a pic of the rear of the clocks please ?
stevemac 0 Posted August 5, 2003 didnt even know the made a passat g60 I can confirm - Passat G60's (think they were 4wd but I maybe wrong) do actually exist. Not sure if they were ever imported into the UK though. Speedo in Corrado G60 is 160mph - Passat G60 is 140mph Not sure if it will physically fit the dash & electrics though
stevemac 0 Posted August 5, 2003 g60rado - I see your from the states. Passat G60's were definitely exported to the states. Is your Corrado G60 speedo 160mph like in the UK ??
g60rado 0 Posted August 5, 2003 the g60 in the states, or atleast all of the ones i have seen, have speedos of 140.
stevemac 0 Posted August 5, 2003 the g60 in the states, or atleast all of the ones i have seen, have speedos of 140. Must be due to emissions regulations.... :(
g60rado 0 Posted August 6, 2003 i know, it sucks, but who uses the speedo anyway  anyway, iall the numbers are the same, im just wondering about the harness and because of the boost readings. It says it fits a 90-93 passat.
g60rado 0 Posted August 9, 2003 so, does anyone know if it will fit? I might just give it a go, and see what happens!
dubster82 0 Posted August 9, 2003 I persume it depends on wether or not it has a Vacuum pug on it.

I'd just bung it on and see what happens...
g60rado 0 Posted August 10, 2003 worst comes to worst, i just wont have a boost reading on my mfa if there is no vacuum plug, right?
dubster82 0 Posted August 10, 2003 mmmmm, not sure, i think i was told when my boost gauge was installed that if it ever went wrong,(leak) the car wouldn't run right. But they might be different way of reading the boost ?
stevemac 0 Posted August 11, 2003 worst comes to worst, i just wont have a boost reading on my mfa if there is no vacuum plug, right? I think you may have to seal the pipe but you should be okay. Try detatching & sealing the pipe with your existing set of clocks still installed. If the car still runs okay then you won't have a problem.
trev-b 0 Posted October 10, 2005 Theres a Passat GT in my local scrap yard with a speedo that goes to 160mph. May be clocks from a C G60? Think i'll go and pick them up tmow.
