Lippy 0 Posted October 27, 2005 Hi What types of Brembo brake kit can you buy and where, obviously suitable for a Corrado (16V)? I want to upgrade the brakes to 305mm and the amount of kits for sale recently seem to have dried up. Can you get kits with different colour calipers ie yellow :D :?: Has anyone got any experience of Tarox? Would they be a good alternative, I imagine they are cheaper? Cheers Lippy
RACK 0 Posted October 27, 2005 I think it's someone like Badger5 who do the brembo kits. Also willwood do a 4pot conversion too

Kevin Bacon 5 Posted October 27, 2005 Yeah http://www.badger5.co.uk is the man for brakes. Rumour has it the AP racing 4 pots on the high powered SEAT ibiza bolt onto VW hubs and use 312 discs. 5 stud only at the mo tho....unless you plug weld and redrill the discs. Lippy 0 Posted October 27, 2005 absolutely FA on ebay! anyone with experience with Tarox?
steve_16v 0 Posted October 27, 2005 One of my mates is the importer of ALL Tarox brakes in the UK, I've got some G88 discs and Rallye pads on mine - standard size but fantastic brakes! (got them for just over half the RRP :) ) He was telling me a while back that if I did the 6-pot conversion they would make it stand on its nose! (too pricey for me though, it would cost over a grand to do). If you want to go to the extreme there's a 330mm 10 pot conversion but thats close to £2000. As an idea of how good Tarox are, Audi came to them to sort out the brakes for the new RS6 because they were having a lot of trouble stopping it. (He also mentioned they built some 24-pot calipers as an experiment and are currently working on 30-pot as well!)
bristolbaron 10 Posted October 27, 2005 steve_16v, fancy finding out a group buy price?
Supercharged 2 Posted October 27, 2005 The Brembo's aren't really cost effective any more as the dealers have got wise and doubled the price of the calipers and other bits so what was a £300 pound conversion is now nearly £700!
steve_16v 0 Posted October 28, 2005 bristolbaron Just spoken to him and unfortunately he can only give discounts to trade and personal friends :( , but they can still be bought for a very good price from motorsportworld.co.uk
